Likely the Cyclops. Remember that IS mech vote back a while ago? Zeus and Cyclops, Grasshopper and Black Knight. We got two of the four. Here is hoping for a Crab, too, in whatever pack that is.

Would be cool to get black knight. Can do without clops. Would rather have the mauler. Truth be told - would rather f the timeline and get a templar!

Assault is a difficult weight class.

Anything sub 100 gets scrutinized unless it has amazing hardpoint inflation (Stalker). Anything that IS 100 will be compared directly against the Atlas, invariably indicating that the Atlas has been surpassed.

Currently we have 3 80 tonners, 2 85 tonners, 1 90 tonner, 1 95 tonner, and 2 100 tonners. Just for that reason alone I would look for a 90 or 95 ton mech.

While I am not a fan of the Mauler, it would be a contender, as would the Cyclops.

But, on a more serious note...if not an IS omnimech, I would love to see the Cyclops as the next IS assault.

I wanted the Guillotine over the Grasshopper myself. Sure they have the same load outs but the Grasshopper is ugly, hehe. Yea the Guillotine would probably be wider.

As for the Assault. I'd rather see a Hatamoto-Chi just so my Kurita friends will have their faction mech. Or just give me my Devastator already and let us have the 3rd variant early (I believe the 3rd one is available in 3052).

I wouldn't want to touch the Devastator with a ten foot pole....

But if we are wishing for 100t mechs....

Russ directly mentioned the Mauler coming as the next IS Assault in the last town hall, so I think it'll be the Cyclops.
