Just led my assault lance to a successful flanking maneuver (12-2) by accident. My controller died and I couldn't turn. Apparently they all followed thinking I was some grand tactician or somesuch.

Ever had that happen?

I've taken quick bio while waiting for matchmaker, left my Raven's throttle forward, and gotten back to the screen to discover the scouts all following me in a mad rush to nowhere!

Not on accident...

I have however lost input and lead a lance out of bounds and to their death.

We had a player in a Jenner get DCed while running circles around an enemy. His mech continued in circles and teh enemy were unable to kill him. Time ran out we lost, but an Unmanned Mech confounded 4 Enemies' attempts to destroy him/it!

I prefer doing flanking maneuvers because people just want to ball up and hide behind cover. Having 1-2 units in the back plinking everyone's armor makes half the enemy turn and you win.
