Yesterday I watched an entire team move up and onto our landing zone and just sit there.

Since everybody knew if they got killed, they would then get slaughtered coming in, no fighting took place for 15 minutes.

This is amazing!!!

What a fantastic concept..

It really is really really good.

Once you understand that, your mind is now right.

Sometimes you just need to go along to get along.

I apologize to all here for failing to see this sooner.

Be a good team player and STFU.

I can do that, if I have to, I guess.

Or, the massacre will just switch to somewhere outside your LZ. That or you will just hide within your LZ until timer runs out.

Is CW count in the k/d and w/l ratio?

If yes....then i understand why they lost a lot of players lol

Had played the first weeks of CW but did find out i win a lot more c-bill playing as a pug...+ more playing time.

SWTOR addressed this for Huttball...hide in spawn = death. Timeout period of 120 seconds idle or within the spawn zone and you just are ejected from the match.

If a team decides to do that then they'll get all booted and the other side wins faster.

OH GOD THEY SPAWN CAMPED THE LAST FOUR GUYS OH NO THEY SO TOTALLY WOULD HAVE WON IF THEY HADNT BEEN SPAWNCAMPED. NOPE. Bads are bad thats all you see with spawncamps. I have NEVER been spawncamped, probably because I dont suck enough to let them push me that hard and fold like a card table.

If you got spawn camped.. You failed to kill 12 guys who had to walk allll the way across the map to reinforce while getting shot at by your dropships. That is a player skill issue and nothing more. ggREKT

Meh! That so arcadey. That's not worthy of BT at all.

But they will still converge at some point and will again be massacred then and there.

In short, have multiple drop zones. I'd rather have that than any of the above.

Sometimes the dropship is the MVP.

Advancing on Boreal, reach the cannon. Three dropships come in; kill 6 of the 8 of us that fought that far.

You missed the point, I was merely pointing out that there are other options that function. Whether they're arcadey or not they're a better user experience than what we currently have. This is also entirely without being innovative to the approach. You're welcome to make other suggestions to correct this. All I've done here is point out the common FPS/Moba approaches

As for the kill volumes and raining in artillery. Fictionally that one makes sense as pilots or crew spotters would call in enemy activity as seen on the flight in. And fictionally speaking, a pilot would not drop soldiers into a kill box intentionally as it would be a suicide mission for them as well to hover during the drop because fictionally they would not be invulnerable like they are now, they'd abort the drop or go to a secondary LZ. I'm in favor of them more being the aggressive sort and just shelling the LZ until it's clear enough to safely drop troops.

12DG yesterday attacking, they covered totally one of the drop spots , I got deployed in there, death in 3 secs, great concept of distributing your troops in battle that way xD

That moment before the dropship bays open and you see yourself surrounded by red arrows: "awww fawk, Seriously?"

Some maps, not all, have a terrible LZ. I think it's up to the players to mainly protect their LZ. The dropships shooting is pretty cool actually. Some maps should also get turrets at their LZ. Also a few dropped in shield structures to hide behind. I don't know what they are a called, but they look like a traffic barricade with a grated section of metal on top. Make them slightly angled in to give a bit of LRM protection so if you lose control of the LZ you can at least get a few shots off before the inevitable end.

Don't make LZ's invincible areas, but on some maps some reworking of them is needed.

the problem is quirked is mechs and clanrange + open spawn locations makes it too easy to shoot down someone from a very very safe and hidden distance.

it definately needs soem rework.
