How am I supposed to Generator Rush Pugs in 12 man units if I need 80 points to qualify?!?! Are you telling me I actually have to shoot back at the enemy????

Oh, don't worry we will still generator rush you puggies ... we just won't go for the quick caps and will basically farm you ... hopefully in the mean time you are able to get to your 80.

Side note: I did 8 of my CW drops as a pug ... only lost 1 ... it was kinda nice seeing mixed groups going up against each other.

Extra reading: As a 12 man, I enjoy fighting other 12 man in CW. However full 12 man units seem to be somewhat rare lately. Davion was the only faction which has consistently put up 12 man units throughout CW (HHoD, RRB, War Pigs, APOC, etc).

I must be the minority then, as for me it was just aweful. The event is ending soon and no time to do the minimal points

3 points so far and 23 matches done in CW

Jump into House Kurita TS and group up.

So cool to play with such numbers of friends and enemies in a CW! 4 matches required to get my mech.

I'm sorry, but I think you are. Getting 80 points is really incredibly easy. If you can do a minimum of 450 damage TOTAL and not fall asleep you should hit it without too much trouble.

Yeah, I only had two matches where I was below 80... Hell, only had 2 matches below 120... One was a spider/firestarter rush, another the Purple Chickens blew the crap out of us, and spawn-***** us to death. It was something like 10 to 48 by games end...

Despite my current lament over the state of Clan Warfare, I played this challenge and had quite a bit of fun. Thank you PGI for making it score based at reasonable number and not win/loss based. I PUGed twenty-one matches this weekend and finished the event relatively easily with only one wasted match against an almost fully guild Clanner team which promptly spawn camped two of my mechs as they came out of the dropship.

I suppose I will replace my current Thunderbolt SE with the champion version once I figure out where I can make my mech selection! Overall a good event in my opinion and it has gotten me back into Clan Warfare somewhat. Good job on some of the improvements since mid-January and I like the new maps.

P.S. Found out where to select my mech, It's a small button on the challenge page above your qualifying match list that appeared around an hour after completing the challenge (for those who want to know).

Only have 1 more point to get.
(Waiting for the prawn of my loins to fall asleep ;) )
Had 2 matches where I scored below 80 which was largely due to teams of Leeroy Jenkins style puggers against organised teams.
I can hardly complain being primarily a pugger myself, until I've mastered at least every IS chassis anyway!

That said, I wish there was some kind of "academy" style tutorial for CW that players would have to complete or reach a certain level of competency before being let loose to drop solo.
...or given access to anything sharper than a fairly pointy sultana for that matte!

Ended with 3 games not qualifying.
Now the owner of a SCR in mothballs until I finish grinding IS mechs.
Must say thanks to all the teams and commanders for putting up with the pug swarm.

Loving the new CW map btw!
Shame we can't have it in PUG.

I was panicking how I'd get my last few matches in by noon tomorrow. It was causing me a good deal of stress, as I'd really love a Stormcrow. Then, lo and behold, I checked the progress tracker page and saw the "25+ hours remaining." Now, math is not my strong suit, but after a few minutes of stupored number crunching, I realized that it ends tomorrow at midnight.

Suddenly, stress is (somewhat) gone. The Crow is still within my exhausted grasp! These are the sort of problems a person wants to have, I realize.

where do i claim my mech? Ryllen said it was a small button on the challenge page above the qualifying match list but i don't know where that is. can anyone help? my tracking page says 20 of 20, challenge completed...

Nevermind, figured it out. you have to click on "The Event Page" link from the main challenge page.

I just wanted to drop in and say how much I enjoyed this event! It was a lot of fun, and while very challenging, was doable. Now I'm off to enjoy my new mech. Thanks PGI :)

WHY do we have CEASEFIRES? My whining aside, what is their purpose?

Having to dedicate 12-13 hours of my weekend to get 20 CW matches in was... exhausting. Seriously.

Having said that, I got 20 points in 20 matches and even set a new high mark for my fighting performance (2500+dmg and 8 or 10 kills I think). Not sure if I'm gonna sell the extra stormcrow or load it out for something. I have like 4 or 5 empty mechbays, though, and I'm sure there's something I could buy.

I dropped solo for 16 or 17 of my matches. Usually ended up with 2-4 guys from 228, PC, or JFP and a bunch of other pugs. Shout out to Col BrickHouse from 4 20 and Blud Knite from 228 for keeping the pugs in line when the pugs wouldn't take orders from me.

It is necessary in order for the borders to change. You can't have the borders change at some point while a match is in progress, because what if that match would have been the match that decided the fate of a planet? So Ceasefires are long enough such that all games in progress have time to play out and finish, then the planets map can update, and the new phase starts.

Was actually quite enjoyable. Honestly, it was group members who wouldn't respond in chat or voice that irked me more than the 80 point requirement.

Grim Portico seems like an absolute ache to try to attack though.
