Well, it was the first time you saw the cockpit right? So... 2 birds with one joke?
Something told me that was a total rip off. Still, you can make it work. If you wanted to.

Wouldn't be hard. Change the flamer to a 45* cone of fire, change the effect to random laser/PPC spray. Give it a max range of 150m. Call it death blossom.

PGI you must get custom decals ASAP in the game for Urbie!
"Too Slow? Too BAD!"
This was a sticker on a friend's 70's VW bus, and the Urbie needs it!

I'd like to understand how the negative tonnage thing is supposed to work for engines under STD 100.
Well truth be told, it's only negative weight because PGI made it that way.
Ugliest Urbanmech evah.
The engine weighs 1.5 tons.
But with that, you get 10 SHS at zero weight, because that's how it works in the ruleset, the first 10 heatsinks are free no matter what. So that 11th heatsink? 1 ton.
PGI made it so that your heatsinks would have weight no matter what, and instead reduced the weights of ALL engines in order to make the heatsink weight work.
That's why the negative weight thing was necessary.
You're not actually getting freebie weight or defying the gravitational effects of 2.8 to 3.2x gravity.
On a side note, some interesting mentions!
Can you spot it?
35 ton urbanmech!? Only in 1987. It becomes 30 tons in 1988 (and was probably 30 tons before as well.)
Why no XL urbies in BT?
Same reason an Atlas can't have more than 5 tubes on his LRM 20 launcher without taking out the SRM launcher -- not enough physical space to do without going to a factory -- which was not an easy thing to do. (Crit slots weren't the only limiter in BT).

They have been saying that in small numbers since just before the quirks (and after the quirks now almost all of them say that).
Ironic they are saying that because easy mode has made their pilot skills laughable and it was them that said Omni mechs were not OP even before quirks because "Its the pilot not the mech". Strange how things work. But I like it.

I've been saying that Omnimechs are not OP and I've got both and play on the IS side.
It's the fact that Omnimech price tags scare off new players, putting them all on the IS (while the experienced players who want something new because they played all the IS mechs are jumping to the Clans) that made them so badass in CW.
Now with players seriously playing CW for the IS, Clans are getting wiped out. 50 planets lost in a single weekend. The additional 10 tons are just overkill. (Instead it should've been 10 less tons for the Clans).
