Yes it's the HBK-4J "LRM-Brawler" :D

In this CW event soloing I often could manage to kill two of the ECM-covered Clanners and three if I was really lucky, like, they didn't realize our UAVs hovering above revealing red doritos. My favorite moment must be seeing backpedalling Whales caught in my volley followed by critted core and then die :D In solo queue this is my best and my most consistent performing HBK so far.

All in all, this is c-bills well spent! PGI plz don't nerf!

So you post it here, people use it more and more, PGI gets finally aware of the problem and nerf it :D

Yeah, I'm aware that it's good because it's one of the overquirked mechs. But I think I also want to promote that LRM is viable (in the sea of "LRM is bad plz don't use") on some mechs and it has its particular uses (like supressing the enemy movement, support, and indirect fire) and perhaps importantly, it can *kill*.

Hunch 4J is an excellent LRM 10 machinegun. Kinda too good, for LRM spam. I run my with twin PPC and ML in the head. Just my two cents in reducing "nerf LRM" threads. :D

My 4SP is my number one mech, 90% of time I use it, but no LRMs, just 3ML and 2LL. I do pretty well usually for such a modest mech.
Its a tough little mech thats so much fun to play. Simple and effective.

Of course it's a killer, it's a Hunchback! You could send it in with nothing more than a boy-scout camping knife and a collection of harsh language and it would be tin-opening King Crabs.

This HBK does seem a little too good. I feel like I should never see a 50 ton LRM mech top damage charts, but it has happened.

I feel like it's right where it belongs right now. The Hunchback is *meant* to be feared. It's a medium packing the pain of a heavy. It was meant to be terrifying.

Now if they can just get us to fear the Atlas again, like we should.

All the Hunchbacks are murder machines. The 4J is good for rapid lrm vomit but I feel like the 4SP is actually quirked better. 4G is still best though ;)

but still, seeing that a 4J throws about double the amount of missiles in the air then a 2x lrm 20 heavy does is still kinda off.

Yeah... but they're LRMs. One of the most easily avoidable weapon systems in the game. You can't go a day without seeing some 1337 unit post about how nobody uses them in comp play or CW because they're worthless, so hard to get too uptight about it.

What? You mean that just because of AMS, ECM, radar dep, Betty, and walls you think things are balanced out?

My 4J, 4G and Grid Iron are efficient killers for sure. My 4SP though, dear god, why did I even buy this thing.

Even if it doesn't have a hunch.

Bruh. Walls op pls nerf.

On Topic: Hunchbacks are great. I think they are one of the few examples of how quirks can make a chassis fun but not overpowered. Considering that the hunchbacks have been in the game forever and they're still viable is telling (and a little fluffy for the people who care about that). I have a 4G and nothing else, haven't even finished the basics, and yet I can do just as well in it as I can in my maxed and mastered shadowhawks.

They did at one point. Anyone else remember the power-steering, 90-degree LRM turns a while back?

The Griffon is better at LRM'ing ;) The Hunchy is at its best with cannons.
