With wave 3 being sold and many purchasing it. (Including my self). I started to already theory craft up a drop.2 Timberwolfs, Shadowcat, and Arctic Cheetah l. Feeling that will be my main drop deck will be at least on attack. Though with the others there is plenty of decks possible. With what all wave 3 offers what do you feel will be the best deck that will be the common one or the meta drop. What mechs of wave 3 will have the largest impact you feel.

high mounted hardpoints are king.

a not so boring dropdekc would be

TBR, SHC, SCR and EBJ.

240 tons filled with quite good mechs, IS gonna cry a lot about these mechs.

There are SOOO many combos, its going to be awesome :)

too many to list really but heres a few:
SHC / SCR / EBJ / TBR
SHC / EBJ / HBR / EBJ
SHC / SHC / SHC / DWF
ACH / SHC / EBJ / DWF
ACH / EBJ / HBR / TBR

Im going to have multiple of each mech (Cheater, SCat, Crow, Hellbringer, Ebon Jag, Timby, Dire, Warhawk) set up (maybe even an Executioner as well if it surprises me), then work out a different drop deck for each map (obviously sharing some of the same mechs), write it down on a bit of paper and super specialise to the map/mode. I think thats the big advantage of clans in CW really, the ability to have lots of mechs set up for slightly different roles and easily swapped between. Im only dreading buying all those Radar Derps and Seismics lol.

All following decks are dependent of the WIII mechs being good and not screwed by hitbox placement or being oversized or other such shenanigans.

Cheetah, Stormcrow, Timber, Timber

This is a standard deck that simply replaced the Kitfox/Mist Lynx with the Cheetah. Provided the Cheetah isn't crippled by bad hitboxes like the Lynx, this offers a lot of firepower and versatility to Clan players. The Timber and Crow are both flexible platforms. The Cheetah takes the place of the Kitfox in this build, because so long as it's boxes aren't bad it will be better than the Fox. A nice fast ECM light with jets.

Shadowcat, Shadowcat, Timber, Timber

Hits 240 exactly. Againt, provided the Shadowcat isn't hosed it will work nicely for any player who likes two things; jump jets, and ranged fighting. The Shadowcat is a classic poptart, but even with tarting nerfed in MWO, it should perform well with some laser spam on top of its jets and ECM. Depending on how MASC is implemented, it could also make a nice runner for late game clean up. The Timbers don't need explaining.

Cheetah, Shadowcat, Jaguar, Executioner

The straight pack deck, which might just be plain fun but also offers a lot of versatility. Two mechs with ECM. Three with MASC and JJs. The Executioner is a fast assault mech that can carry a nice brawling set up to complement its jets. Hopefully the Exe has good boxes, akin to those of the Atlas or Victor. If it is more like a Highlander it'll end up in a heap with the other trash clan mechs.

Stormcrow, Stormcrow, Jaguar, Jaguar

A twist of the 3 Crow 1 Timber build and the one I'm looking forward too. There's a lot of versatility here for brawling and mid-range fighting.

This is frankly the pack the Clans really needed as the mechs give the weight and ability combinations (a good 30 tonner, a 45 tonner, a fast mobile assault mech, and wider ECM access). Right now so many of the Clan mechs are bad or mediocre that our Drop Decks are very limited compared to the IS. Hoping all four of these mechs manage to be at least decent as it will give us comparable versatility and options to IS decks.

Wave 3 definitly a winner of choice mechs, wave 2 was a disappointment which Is why I didn't purchase that one. Wave one has crow and timber.

Just seems like IS gets better deals on their packs.

Another nice option depending might be 3x Jaguar + a Shadowcat or a Cheetah. The Jaguar is the mech I most look forward to, so I really hope it's good. It should be able to stack UACs and LBX's while having a better profile than the Hellbringer. Honestly, part of me kind of expects Hellbringers to disappear a bit once this pack is out.

And it will still boil down to

TBR, HBR, HBR, ACH.

For sure you will se the other Wave 3 Mechs in DDs, but who cares. HBR still hast the best Hardpoints for Vomit, TBR is general the King and ACH just for the lulz of Light wave Rush. Maybee HBR is exchanged for an ECM SCH and you see fitted in a second TBR.

Anyhow I guess best out of Lightrush Szenario still remains a heavy dropdeck with 3 and a filler MLX - like TBR,TBR,HBR,MLX - since within 30min you won't use the MLX anyway and if you need the 4th mech you will be near parity/loss anyway. Ether you can **** the enemy over in your first 3 Mechs or not.

In normal queue you have for a 12 to 12 15min. in CW you 30min for 4 Mechs. With travel time the "match time is maybee down to 7 to 8 min if you use every 10min a fresh Mech.
