I use LRM5s on mine..but never been a LRM spammer.... I find them to be vicious when I tag my own targets and hunt at mid ranges....6xlrm5 and 4x erml.

That said.... yeah, I do see a lot of Mad Derps out there, too, lol.

And they panic like crazy when you get up close to them with a Centurion too!

Stormcrows, too. A Wang with a functional AC20 can slice through clanners - so long as the AC20 lasts, anyway.

Twist like your life depends on it!

Bishop gave me the build, and I love it on the Wang.

The Orion. There has never been an Orion that has scared me or given me a real challenge; it really is the "poor man's Atlas".

Maybe if the Atlas gets armor buffs, the Orion could use a few too?...

All other mechs are snacks in my eyes. The Orion just is a full-course meal.

Champion Stalkers. Those things are utter death traps and one of the easiest builds in the game to kill, without a corresponding threat profile.

Seriously, PGI, you need to redo some of the Champion builds, and take a pause for a sanity check when designing new ones.

The same chassis/variant I am currently running. First I think "I"m not alone!", then I'm like "There can be only one".

Ran into a DWF with all hardpoints filled with cuac2s and lasers. I couldn't believe my eyes. Shutdown city. Generally DWFs are my favorite. Some DWF pilots tend to fill all hardpoints with weapons that will most likely result in a shutdown.

Timberwolves.

Because then I tell my team "Hey everyone, shoot the Timberwolf!" and he dies comically.

The Atlas.

Sorry, Sarlic. For every competent Atlas player, there's a hundred of them who fire their AC20's under my feet as I jump jet over them.

I have feasted upon many a mechjock who looked upon my awesome and thought i was an easy lunch.

I earned my "Ace of Spades" tag honestly(not during buggy-deathstar-day), and more importantly in an Awesome 8Q. And rest assured, this was no freak occurrance. I have replicated the results a dozen times since. I will admit, the Awesome is not the best mech overall, but it will kill you all the same.

Lesson: Never, i repeat, NEVER underestimate any mech. Its the pilot that kills you, not the mech. Approach each opponent as if they are intent, and able to end you, because they are.

Bishop, you of all people should know this. Your love and admiration for the lesser-loved chassis should have taught you this lesson by now.

Pilot >>> Mech, agreed.

That said, in most cases, I hold absolutely no trepidation for mixing it up with a Mad Dog - though a Streak-36 will mean I will be very sneaky about it in a light. Piloting anything else and see a Mad Dog though? Firepower is cut in half very easily with those giant side torsos, finishing them isn't usually too hard either.

When I am in my Atlas and I manage to make it to the front-lines undetected and I turn the corner fresh: Literally any mech in the game.

Daishi. no matter what i'm in, i love to tear them apart and laugh while i do it. something about how the clan's 100-ton wubturret is supposed to be the "best" 'mech fills me with the utter confidence i need to wreck it's face, be i in my atlas or commando or even my wolverine (which i'm pretty sure has died to literally everything else it's ever fought).

Because it does!

I just can't put an XL on a Centurion. Can't do it. It and the Hunchback. To me, just doesn't feel right. Luckily, with my playstyle, doesn't feel like I need one.

When I'm in the WubShee? Anything within 400M.

LET ME WUB YOU, PUNY ROBOTS!
Why is your arm explosive Mr Whale?
Oh, Mr Lolcust, wouldn't it be a shame if suddenly half of your components were simultaneously destroyed?

Not much can survive 200 hitscan damage over the course of 10 seconds. It's glorious...as long as it's not Terra Therma. Brace yourself on Frozen City.

On the other hand...there's the Myth Lynx. Never did I ever think this thought would pop into my mind:
"Oh god! Not a Locust!"
Such a sad little Gundam.
