So underwhelming, especially compared to the previous countdown days.

The only think I like here is the MG RoF quirk, which means we hopefully won't see any more useless MG range quirks. Now let's just hope for a higher value than 7.5%, because 10.75 bullets per second isn't much better than 10 bullets per second...

Think the old Urbie is going to need a bit more help than this...

What worries me most is a combination of wide torso and no RT/LT buffs. *pop* goes the urbie.

No matter! I will still pilot my trashcans!

oh Goody the R60L will be so MEta, it has velocity and range boosts on it's AC20!!!!! (I have it on good authority those are more important than cooldown, 4 reals!)

Yeah... well, good news? It's an Urbie, still. Bad news? Its an Urbie, still.

No CT internal bonuses. I guess they expect us to be the Twisting Death itself.

The quirks may seem a bit underwhelming, but add in appropriate modules and there are some serious boosts to certain loadouts.

We've been over this PGI....cool running Ballistics do not need less heat...unless it's AC2s.
You shouldn't use AC2s.

They've done it...now I wonder which mechs will get it.

Well, the AC20 kinda needs that (it is heat producing... and I don't mean Ghost Heat).

Spider-5K and Cicada-3C :D :D :D

;)

Seriously though, I didn't like the preemptive nerf on the Wave 1 release though.

They're quirks. They're fine.

They aren't gonna make or break a ******* Urbie... *sigh*

Why? Simple, the Urbie comes with a single Small, or Small pulse laser. Being quirked to emphasize that makes zero sense. This model features a LB-10X, and making it a "street sweeper" at least gives it some utility.

probably closer to how I'd have set them

pure speculation but from the gameplay vid and all, maybe the slowish urbie isn't as doa as evryone claims it will be. i hoped for more to be true, especially more boomstick quirks to keep it slow and nasty but we'll see in 2 days...

Yup. Gonna run (well, waddle) and gun and have fun in mine regardless.

Plus if the quirks prove as MEH as it preemptively appears, there will be future passes. And you think I won't be on Russ's twitter, lol?

Guys... you asked for a joke mech, you got a joke mech. Now you're complaining that the joke mech isn't viable enough? It's a joke mech. Were you really expecting to be running it in CW? It's not even as bad as many of the mechs we already have.

Compared to the quirks the clan and some Resistance mechs have, these are a decent first iteration.

Actually, I asked for an URBANmech, son, not a joke mech. That one is called a Jester, I think.

Urbanmechs, on the other hand, are serious business, son.

No kidding right!

I saw the video of gameplay footage, and was let down that it was so fast.

What a lot of people don't realize is one of the benifits of the Urbie, is that the community that bought them, and supported the dvelopment of the Urbie, forced the devs to do extra work and as a result the second order effects are going to probably lead to improvments across the board. Just look at things like the 360 torso twist and the animated urbie standing item, as well as stien. All things that took a lok of brain sweat to break out of the rut.
