I like to move around 62kph in mine and other players have called it a "corvette." It's not quite the brawler other Atlasessies are, but I like having the mobility.

One of these things just doesn't belong, Can you tell which thing is not like the others?

People have recommended that if I buy a D-DC, I should put a big engine in it. In your opinion, what constitutes a 'fast' Atlas?
Use This. It maximizes your brawling potential and balances it with the speed to actually close and travel to objectives. The 350 engine build is also good, but the 340 allows a little more ammo for the same heat dissipation. Do not put an XL in any Atlas that does not have words like "Boar's Head" in the name. Likewise, the days when a 48kph glorified turret was a good idea are long gone - you want to be able to sustain brawling power at close range while still being able to overheat. Thus, the AC/20 and three ASRM6s have the two Medium Lasers added for that extra bit of firepower when damage is more important than heat.
This is the quintessential Atlas build right now; you'll get people advocating hip-level ER Lasers and Gauss Rifles, but the chassis doesn't support that - you just get shot up trying to peek around and over cover. LRMs on an Atlas mean that you posess the firepower of a Medium at all ranges, and is... disadvised. Pick your moment, preferably isolating an opponent or moving in with your team, and remind the enemy that nothing takes a licking and keeps on kicking like an Atlas.

I think the STD335 has the best speed/weight ratio and so it's the best for PUG games.
As for a "fast" DDC, that's what I'd do for solo drops :

Not so good for organized drops, but in PUGs it has some nice advantages (decent speed, some range while still having good alpha, you can take down UAVs with the arms, and have AMS).
For groups tho I would use a totally different build, going for a bigger engine :

As an advice too, since the DDC is very SRM oriented, I think you should try to avoid srm6 without Artemis if you can. And don't skip too much on leg armor, because it becomes very obvious (combined it should be at least the same of CT armor).
