Best one so far for me. Good game too, our surviving two mechs were completely trashed.

Just one question to all the Urbie Haters who were so smugly looking forward to "farming Urbies"......

could we split the tables for each varriant?
because we all know that the 60L is a bit superior and good rounds with a 60 or 63 varriant should he honored too

just got to witness this Twinky guy dominating, wow.

You're not so bad yourself. <o But yeah, I've seen Twinky play a couple of times, too, and he's amazing.

I followed you around in several matches yesterday trying to learn the magic, and I swear I shot at everything you shot at, and in one case I even survived longer than you did, but you always ended up with 2-4x more damage than I had.

(I'm a terrible shot, so I shot at the same targets that you hit. LOL)

Learned a few things about positioning, or rather re-positioning. You probably do it without even thinking about it, but you have some clever tricks that I picked up. Now I just have to make them habits!

And I'm best in the R60. Go figure.

Of course, if I were smart I'd use my R60 build on the other variants, but I'm not that smart.

Oh, also finished unlocking the Master slots on all three Urbies on Sunday afternoon. Perfect timing for this challenge - gave me something to do while grinding through the unlocks!

Probably my best score
Get ready to laugh at my loadout.
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...c0908444e3bab1f

one I forgot to get a screen of.. was 1050 on Terra Therma of all maps.. lol
Also got a good one hitting 950 dmg 5 kills in my UM-r60 with 4 MG 2LL on Crimson.

On average though I was landing 1-2 kills, 400-600 damage per game.
But wow.. so many kill theives, people were literally blowing my arms and legs off trying to steal kills from me.
Even got greifed 3 times during the event by random people who would blow off a leg or core out my back at the start lol.

heh I guess I don't think about it. I don't know what to say when somebody asks how I do well. I shoot when I can, and I turn/move out of the way when I expect to get shot at. I try to be mindful of what parts of my mech can or can't take a hit; as well what parts of an enemy can or can't take a hit (at a glance you can tell by the smoke). Other than that it just feels like luck. Lucky to have a good team, lucky to not get shot, lucky to get the killing blow, etc.

Just wanna say one of my favorite moments of the weekend was getting chased by a Raven while the enemy pelted me in Caustic (tried to save a friendly crab that got left behind). I made it away from the shitstorm, but man that raven chased me around the caldera, all the while shooting at each other. Eventually he broke off when he realized I was taking his leg. That 360 degrees man it was beautiful. I was able to run full speed to friendlies while putting up a fight behind me. I felt like a tail gunner in a dogfight.

Not my most effective round but I enjoyed the match for managing this much while we got rolled. R63 ftw! Well, um...

I used to play a lot in the Virtual World Entertainment BattleTech simulator pods. (Briefly 3.0, mostly Tesla 4.0, then finally some Tesla II 5.0 for those in the know.) Those pods have a big screen in them, plus a big radar screen, plus 5 other ancillary screens that feed you information and have additional buttons on them.

Anyway, playing in those pods gets you used to looking around and using extra screens. So I just naturally use the mini-map while playing, and am pretty comfortable driving the Urbanmech around obstacles while facing backwards. I wish we could zoom in on the mini-map, and that it was more accurate than it is, but it's still useable.

I can't count the number of times I've had someone pursuing me only to break off and run away when they see me navigate around things all while I'm shooting them in the face. They probably think I'm psychic or something. :)

I finally got legged while using the STD60. 17.8kmp baby!

At least you don't suffer much when taking fire with only one leg. :)

I have yet to be killed by an Urbie. *knocks on wood*

Though I don't go out of my way to hunt them.

6 Kills, 6 Assists. This Urbie is now a registered sex offender.

R63, 4kills 6 assists 576 dmg with a STD60. Unfortunately I ran out (just 2 tons) of ammo fairly early on but I still had a blast. Admittedly I got really lucky when a quick power-down actually worked as the enemy ran past me.

Board updated!

I decided against splitting the challenge up for every variant; first my list has only one entry for every player and I take the best scores from different screenshots for that entry.

And second, this is more about the fun of playing the Urbie and how high you can get, not exactly a strict diehard competitive challenge - we just had that, and those unreal scores there are awesome, kudos to everyone :D

Hi all
Nice score here, and bravo to the winners
Im very happy to be in the Urbie thing, that mech is sooo cool ! He just made me rediscover each map as i can use some cover i never can before.
My Best match this WE was 4K 8assist and 692 dmg, and i finish the event 28th of the 63 wiz 2101pt
Just want to say that for me, the urbie is one of the better small i play !, My better mech for going in the back of an Atlas or dire.
I use it for close cmbt, taking advantage of his tinysize, and flaming my foe for disturbing.
XL180 LPL SPL 3xMG+1.5t, Flamer
