If I'm zoomed in, and go to heat vision or night vision, it zooms me out all the way. Why?
Is there any ******* reason for that? It's annoying.
PGI, please change this. Thx.

correct me if I'm wrong. but I think heat & night vision limit the distance we can see anyway. zoom seems hardly required.

this bug started ages ago, I have been waiting for them to fix it, I even ticket it.

Yep, both alternate vision modes have maximum ranges beyond which it's impossible to see. This was brought in for... balance reasons... Though anyone who's ever actually used an image intensifier ("NVG") or thermal optics will know how daftly unrealistic the range limitation is.
So sadly yes, using "night vision" or thermal will make max zoon setting pointless to use.
