Seems my settings are locked to DX9 while running the 64 Bit client. Id like to run in DX11 for AMD dual graphics to work. Anyone know how to solve this?

I have the exact same thing, which is funny because back along, switching to DX11 was the fix for another problem (though that problem seems not to have recurred in a while).

This is very frustrating. Any ideas or news why it's locked out?

Nope! Support was really, really good when the problems first kicked off but I haven't had a reply about this issue, sort of gave up on it, everything seems to be working well enough (still having my evening net issues but hoping an impending switch to Fibre will provide the bandwidth to overcome the issue).

If I hear anything, will post it :)

Maybe edit the systemoverride.cfg?

r_Driver="DX11"

?

1st. are you running MWO with admin privileges? Logging into an admin acct is not the same as providing admin privileges. Right click on shortcut, properties, compat tab. check Admin at the bottom.

2nd. In game, Options, Video, change DX9 to DX11 (auto is also an option). You will be told to log completely out for the change to take effect. Will this not change? What version of Windows are you using? Is it fully updated?

Did try the editing of the systemoveride.cfg, haven't tried Admin Privileges, but then I was pretty sure I'd set it to that a long time ago, worth a look, will let you know if anything happens!

One other thing after double checking the Admin privileges is to run the Repair Tool a few times.

Hmm, you were changing it during a combat drop? :)
