okay so i'm having an issue where i can't use death blossom, or maybe im just missing it... in the video it shows 6 atlases surrounding the urbanmech. so does it activate automatically when surrounded or what? is there a key i have to press? i've ran into the enemy team and there had to be atleast 8 mechs around me and as far as i could tell i couldnt see any way to use the attack and I even tried to help it along by getting closer to enemy mechs but no one would get close enough to me as the atlases in the video. how close do you have to be before you can use it?

Did you pick up the Death Blossom ammunition in the secret Cow level?

Yes, what Alistair said.
Also the enemies must be Atlases, all of them.

I have duplicated the Death Blossom! You need a 180XL, lots of Heat sinks, as many mgs as you can fit, then a flamer and 3 small pulse lasers set to chain fire! Then spin your fool way around the map zapping everything in sight!

Addendum to the Operator's Manual For The UM-R63, Sixty-Fourth Edition, Page 372:
"The best way to activate Death Blossom is to insert a command into your mech's systems such that the process is triggered when your ejection seat is fired. If this is not possible, then the mechwarrior must manually remove the control circuitry for the reactor control and cooling systems and hope their ejection seat is not one of the slower-firing models.
"It should be noted that using a Death Blossom anywhere within a civilian area is considered a Class Two war crime, and thus no responsible military power will sanction such a tactic for the UM-R63. Further, as the resultant mushroom cloud is centered on the position of the former mech whose pilot performed the unorthodox action, it's rather obvious to everyone who is to blame for the large amount of radiation added to their community. Pilots who survive the results of their desire to make a statement with their fusion reactors rarely survive the reception they receive from the local townspeople if they are unfortunate enough to have their ejection seat land within the general vicinity of the act.
"Finally, any attempted use of a Death Blossom maneuver will void the warranty on your UM-R63."
