The new pods use a version of MW4. They actually just closed the track 21 location here in Houston. The pods are fun for the immersion factor but being able to play this new game is going to eat into their business I am thinking.

There is still a track 21 location over here on west side of Houston that runs this, or it did a few months ago? Bear creek area on HWY 6.

your name seems familar, did you work for a computer company?

No, at the time I was just out of high school. If I remember right, you might be thinking of Tesseract. I used to show up with a friend of mine who played as Loverboy.

I was not: I ran into the pods when I was probably in 5th or 6th grade at Circle Center Mall in Indianapolis, IN.

Games seemed prohibitively expensive at my age. I was only able to play three or four times. It was awesome being in that cockpit with all the buttons and switches...I did pretty well. I was one of the only people really cognizant of what was really going on when playing, a lot of the other people were just walk-ins wanting to check it out. I whooped their butts. :)

I was sad when it went away, even though I didn't play much.

Being 11 wouldn't have made my chances of becoming a master pilot very good.

Maybe today...

They just retired that location. They should have a new location up this month or next according to their site info. I look forward to it.

Yokohama and Tokyo, Japan I played alot at dureing 94-97 and even played in Chicago once when I had a day lay over on flights. I was stationed in Japan in the Navy so that is why I mainly played there. Still got one of my shirts from the game some where. I went by KIDD back than on alot of the games I played. For the guy that was in houston back than if you saw any one on the NW side arcade games with KIDD score that was prob me. Don't know why I never played in Houston, prob didn't have any one interested when I was home on leave to go and I think it was at the gallery mall and I hated that place.

Hey Xman,

I worked at the VW Costa Mesa, I was the food and beverage manager. Call Sign "Screaming Eagle" and my good friend went by "Preacher". Since working there I have gotten back in contact with Boingo. We both were in the same motorcycle club for a couple of years.
