Mary Sue is basically a character that is perfect and can do no wrong in a story. aka House Davion.

Easy fix for OP's issue : don't play CW.
That's what I do, because I generally play alone and on a casual schedule, and CW is just bad for people like me. Besides the meta in it is even worse than in regular games, it's just a LL borefest of endless poking that lasts 4 times longer than a normal game lol.
Thanks for trying to put something more than WoT with mechs though PGI. A for effort.

So basically Stackpole is more than a little bit responsible for creating Phelan Kell, Kai Allard-Liao and Victor Steiner-Davion as Mary Sue.

He didn't exactly poop on Kurita either. (Theodore was one of his darlings...)
Marik and Liao? Yeah..
well they deserved it... (Anton, Maximilian, and especially Romano.)

He joined SWOL like 2 posts into this thread, good player.
Thanks Vxheous,
I couldn't be happier, SWOL are a really nice bunch, couldn't reccomend them enough, good mix of lore of and teamwork but without being too overbearing and strict.

Now OP. Look again at your first post, exactly what you said concerning groups.
Now look at how happy you are now.
Then and now are so different aren't they?
Why can't more solo/casuals/uber casuals do the same and profit....?

You are right and I hate to admit it, but the shoe is on the other foot, everyone likes to win. Unfortunately I can empathise with the pug teams we played, it's a slaughter, I think there was one match where I only used 2 of my 4 mechs!
I think that you do need to find the right unit fit especially if you are more casual and that does take time as a lot of units demand a good deal of your time! It's all well and good me being a keyboard warrior on the forums while I should be working but if I play too many evenings I lose out on my social life and my girlfriend calls me a loser for playing a big stupid robot game and that hurts, I'm a sensitive soul...
