Won my required 10 games in 12 attempts. Took probably what, 2.5 hours.
Easily one of the simpliest challenges I've done.

Same experience. Dragging out into day 2 because of this for the last 3 matches. Not a problem with the points, just the size of the group. Leader has to know to drop LFG queue or people may join *after* hitting match search.

Regardless...it's an easy 500 MC.

PROS:
- No silly behaviours in game. No kill stealers or people hiding to qualify. Maybe i was lucky, but i saw lots of people waiting for slow assaults, carrying ecm to where the group needed it etc and less players going on their own to snipe in a ecm light.
- Fast to complete, 10 matches. 10 min (average?) x 10 matches = 100 minutes. Let's round it to 2 hours. No need to spend the whole weekend playing, anyone remembers the 80 games for the adder challenge? 80! 80??? 80.
- Test of the new LFG feature. Does it have problems? Yes, but i'd say is working quite well so far.
- 500 MC or cockpit item for playing 10 matches.
- Good chance to play with unknown players for several matches, and make friends. I wish this challenge had happen back in 2012, this is a huge social improvement for the game.
CONS:
- Some people joins groups and leaves them as soon as they see the size is not what they were looking for, without ever speaking to the team. This happens in part because there is no way to write a custom group description. And some people just have 0 patience.

The frustrating part was that there was no way to set a group size limitation in LFG, so you couldn't just set your desired group size and let it fill up, leading to much frustration where people join, leave, get kicked, merge only to drop when the merged group wasn't looking for that group size and so on. That was no fun at all and I ended up doing the last drops of the challenge with my FRR buddies and manual invites instead.
So as an introduction to the LFG feature it left something to be desired, especially since it gives a false negative impression. People will remember the frustration of trying to find the right group size, but when will that ever be a problem again? Never, so the challenge created an artificial problem for people to be frustrated by. Weird.
I started to like the LFG feature a lot more when using it to fill up CW groups, that's where it shines so far. Great feature. Now give us some more control such as naming the group, like "Tukkayid attack drop 1", and making VOIP work in the group chat.

cw is the problem though not lfg which I've stopped trying to use as when I play hardly anyone on that goes on it. I'm a night owl typically up till um right now then get ready for bed. Guess working 3rd shift is hard to shake when on layoff even when being a stay home dad.

Am I missing something, or is the point of the challenge..... Lord once again, I don't understand.
Missing something.
We just get a new feature and they have a challenge with it, this is not new nor is it dumb. It is actually rather smart. What better way to put a new feature through it's paces then to have everyone use it.

Tool worked great for me. Found a group with a competent lead, drew him into a NGNG TS Dropship and kept inviting people to it. We ended up with 4 people who stuck with us on coms for over half the challenge.
I picked up 2 more competent players for my friends list, and got the Island cockpit item I claimed I wanted when I was asked.
I am now officially on an island.

This is why they throw a challenge to stress test the system.
