It was odd, but was a good way to introduce people to LFG and get them familiar with it.
It also showed some flaws in the system with all the traffic, so hopefully they'll work on that.

The gang I dropped with found a weakness. seems that players can join and leave a group while it is in Que for a drop. doing so seems to disrupt teh drop! Took us 45 minutes to get a group size stable enough to actually drop.
This is why they throw a challenge to stress test the system.

that's not something you need to get data from public use on, that's something the devs should have been checking for to begin with! you could have caught that screwup just by having a couple bots going in and out of a group without putting it out to piss everyone off. PGI's idea of "beta" seems to be "letting the playerbase figure out obvious problems in the system any serious company would have planned for so we can apologize for it"

I got this done last night (Sunday) and managed to do all groups sizes in less then 3 hours.
I jumped in on groups and used chat and got 12-5 done that way. Then i made a group and put myself in the LFG queue and got 2 3 and 4 banged out. Thanks for the Island cockpit item PGI!
It was to encourage people to use the LFG as a way of testing it im sure. Best test is to try and break it (see latest CW event for reference) and gamers know how to do that real easy. Not mention we got free stuff for participating....what exactly was the downside?
If you dont like it DON'T PARTICIPATE! Pretty simple really.....

Well considering I don't see this as a finished product and I signed up to Beta it... I'm still on the payroll to try to break new stuff.
