Adding people who you just played with in a game should be one of the main socialising elements of games like this. However having to write down their name to add them after, especially if it has weird spelling or letters you can't make on your keyboard? It makes the social element of this game almost void unless you're doing it externally. Please please please pgi add something to the social tabs like a recently played against tab that tells us 2 things; How many games ago we played them and what they were playing. Also it would be nice to be able to sort friends but that's not as important as being able to add them with a 1 button click.

That was promised in the original UI 2.0 specs, but has yet to manifest itself.
You'd think this was important...

I don't agree with many suggestions, as they tend to be too fantastic to implement, too costly, or a poor decision for balance.
This one is none of those, and should be implemented as soon as feasible. I'm sure this one is particularly tough with moderate language barriers. Many non-native English speakers had names I wasn't going to be immediately familiar with, or be able to remember immediately. I'm fairly certain those same people might have trouble with my silly name, or others.

If stats and scoreboard of each game were shown on the website profile then this feature would be taken care of with no in game UI changes.
New UI releasing soon though, so a chance the feature will be in there.
Hopefully someone new designing it.

*clicks on name on the score board screen*
mute
unmute
add as friend
invite to unit
block user
at least, that's how it SHOULD be.

that's basically what we have now.
what we need is a way to add players during, and just after a match

Diablo 3 always has that nifty Recently Played With list where you can keep track of those you might want to friend. Would be great if they added it here.

Agree, something like Heroes Of The Storm, where you can view a summary of recent played matches.

If you get into a LFG Group and stay in after any Match you and add folks you think might be a good addition then. Not 100% but it is a Start.
