So cynical.

Someone has to teach him a lesson...

Nothing against him, but he thinks high of himself, but that doesn't make him a game designer (and his design decisions are really, really poor).

I would say to the OP that your approach makes a lot of sense. I think this is how a lot of gamers are feeling these days. Instead of going "all in" on the promise of something a lot of people are now choosing to wait until they see before they buy. There was an article about this recently on Massively.com and I think it reflects a change in paradigm for online gamers. With several major titles failing to deliver this year - people are skeptical.

As for the OP's claims of being a pro gamer - that's neither here nor there because his point actually makes a lot of sense. Even myself I have to weigh very heavily whether or not I will buy the game ahead of time, and I can tell you when MWO was first announced it was more of a "shut up and take my money!!" sentiment. The big failures in the past 6 months are really hard to ignore. I can completely understand where OP is coming from.

The largest mistake the WOT devs made as to grow the game “sideways” instead of “stronger”, so they added more vehicles, but never passed the tier cap of 10. Is this the plan for MWO? Whatever the highest tier is on release will be the highest tier(for MWO I guess this would be tonnage) for the life of the game?

For some one who declares himself a profesional player and gamer of the MW games you dont know a lot.
In MWO ther are no "tiers". And most mechs stay below 100 Tons ther are some odd ducks but usualy they dont apear at all.

And btw, if you dont like a lot of different mechs but A Mech level 1-Level 99 all the same just stronger then your wrong here, WoT did it right, further "escalation" only leads to the Dragonball effect.

Try to implement the least amount of player restrictions as possible. More player freedom means more player power, more player power means more player happiness, more player happiness means more dollars in your pocket.

If you would have played some older MW titels you would know that without restriction the games turns down to a 7 ER-Large laser 1 hit kill shutdown-campfest. No thanks.

Does gravity play a realistic role? I know a laser would shoot straight, missiles will home, but what about ballistic rounds? If I jump jet off a 1000 ft high cliff do I take damage when I land?(you won't get me to believe that any amount of hydraulics will save me from that)

Reading trough the most basic FAQ or watching 1 video you would have figured out that yourself. Not very profesional of you.

Nerd rage much? ;)

Dont the OP at least have 1 legitimate point. How do you balance the Clan play? Dont you run a risk of some überstrong clan dominating.
How do my casual gameplay style fit in. Can I fit in and make a real difference to the clan/merc invironment.

FYI.You've just subscribed yourself for some massive **** delivery.
Personally I had a hard time comprehending your post until I realized you misuse the term "Clan".
Using the term "Clan" to describe "units" in BT is a good way to not be taken seriously and be marked as "did not do the research" instead.

heh, a profesional gamer caring choosing the colour of the lasers. Honestly most prof's would be happy with the colour being an indication of strenght as it is now. There's nothing more to add though, enough breath given... next.

@ OP

You know nothing about the BT universe, your most concerning Question: Will there be Higher Tier?
Ist very easily Answered:
Yes in 3050

The Content IS King in BT as the Content is Testplayed and refined over 2 Decades, the "Content" in WoT is "Testplayed" for less half an Decade and lot of Vehicles had been abandoned during Testplay and we play them in WoT.

The MWO has a twice overworked Matchmaking system already even before the release. (Tonnage first, later BV1 then BV2)

There has been lot of Leagues etc.

And btw when you complain about Grafiks, then you are not a Progamer. As Progamers always plays in the less possible Resolution a Game provides to have more Frames or just enough Grafiks to have 60fps worse case. And even if we had MW2 Mercs Grafiks, it would be fine for a Progamer, and lot of us guys would play it.

So go out stick your money Elsewhere and play something else.. oh i forgott, please come in Popwerplay you through give the Developers 600$ in Cash Flame other Teammates and LEAVE us ALONE after 3 Month, before the Clan Invasion comes.

I know it is difficult to keep casual gamers and power gamers happy at the same time, but you can't punish casual players and you can't punish power gamers or your game will lose it's appeal in the first couple months.

You have already proven, with your own statements, that "power gamers" tend not to stick a game out unless specifically catered to. It is the casual players that keep games going. So many people who know nothing about mechwarrior or battletech think that they know this game, in fact it is the extremely devoted fan base that will keep it alive and thriving for (hopefully) many years.

So... I was going to write this long reply, quoting everything that was horribly wrong and misused and abused by the OPer. I've seen that has been done, nice job everyone. Truly, this thread should be closed, it's really a waste of all our time.
