So... your not promising to play MWO which is a Free 2 Play game and therefore would cost you nothing, nor are you bothering to read up on the game. Yet you've bothered to register, state your opinion, with having read none of the aformentioned information available to you on these forums and yet somehow claim you are interested in this game. So naturally many have come to the conclusion that you are a troll, and they seem to be quite right in their supposition.

Also Devs dont get paid to be on forums they get paid to actually work on the game itself, something a 'professional gamer' would know.

That is correct, I am already making money in Diablo 3 why would I play this game unless it was for entertainment only? I like the MW series so I am interested in playing it for my entertainment.

Devs do get paid for being on the forums, it is part of their job, making posts keeps gamers interested. Interested gamers buy games, buying games makes devs money, see how that works? Tell me the last time you got excited becuase a forum moderator posted in your thread? But if a dev posts in your thread, damn straight you would be a happy camper :) CHA CHING

Still have some work to do Mongoose before you reach his level. Just saying.

LOL - I could not hold Obama's jockstrap... He convinced an entire nation to put him in the Whitehouse and then bent them all over, without lube, I can never top not, not even in my league. Retards will put him in office again wait and see... Yes I am WAY far to the right...

... Maybe it has to with you creating a thread boosting about yourself as a perfessional gamer? Ever think of that?

It wasn't a suggestion/question as much as it was "I am someone that wastes more time in my life playing video games then anything else, so my opinion matters more (Period)".

Sorry, but paid gamers are complete jokes. And the fact that you made a thread like this proves it.

Being that I am permantly disabled my wife was thrilled when I got paid for playing games. Before becoming disabled I was the bread winner while she stayed at home with the children, the roles changed when I was diagnosed with avascualr necrosis. Being paid to play games has really help my family, no idea why you would feel that paid players are a joke. When I was a writer for MPS, I pulled in about 4500 customers which made them over $100k and it only cost them a few thousand, no way I would have done that for free.

The first intelligent post I have read in this thread... So they have power over the creative content? Why would FASA not go to Microsoft? Is FASA getting a cut of any of this?

FASA no longer exists, the creative intellects behind FASA (for the most part) are now the creative minds behind Smith and Tinker. As for power over the creative content... I'm not sure what the agreement is between them and Pirahna but since the devs have many posts referencing their adherence to BT canon I'm sure they have quite a bit of sway in that respect. If I remember correctly FASA was dissolved after selling the rights to the battletech franchise to microsoft games, but regardless of the where and the whyfors FASA is no more and Smith and Tinker is the legacy of the original company.

Sorry bro from this point on only founders are getting beta invites. If you are in fact a professional gamer shouldn't your label be able to afford a $120 buy in? Your post had some decent points but you could try to organize your thoughts a little better next time. Also you might try a little less hubris. If you had done 5 minutes of research you would have realized there is no pay to win for MWO. That alone is going to steal probably 30% of the USA audience from WoT.

Well if there is no open beta and only founders are getting bet ainvites then I will pass for now and check the game out later. The $120 is no problem but I am not coughing it up on a title I have not even touched, I dont put a lot of weight behind screenshots or 3 minute video clips.

OP: You're all immature, since everyone is on my case about what I've said and how I've said it. My line of thinking and statements cannot possibly be wrong. I will not rescind or apologize for anything, as my esteem is so bloated that I cannot perceive myself as being wrong about anything.

Everyone else: Dafuq?

MPS paid me to play WOW,(If you have ever been an MPS member I was MPS_Mongoose) Blizzard offered me a position when I was the first player in WOW to cap out all the classes. If you played WOW in the first year of release you probably know me or have heard of me. I turned down the position with Blizzard because it was a volunteer position and I was already being paid to play it. Now if one of the kiddies wanna run their mouth about me stating I was offered a position by Blizzard and turned it down, I still have the letter in a shoe box, somewhere. I will be more then happy to have the wife look for it, but I will want paid for wasting my time proving reality to kiddies :)

Cool story Bro, needs more ponies.

He does indeed. He'll continue to call people "kiddies" until someone actually says "I'm 52" and then he'll berate them for being so old. Just can't win.

No, they dont. Here is an analogy for you. You dont pay a Cook to stand outside talking about how good a cook he is, you keep him in the kitchen. Sure he may draw some people in when he isn't cooking but they dont pay him to advertise, they pay him to cook.

Community Managers on the other hand are a different story.

@ op, I only read about half your post, but 100 ton Mechs (the max) are available at launch, so that will not be the progression.

Pilot skill, and weapon tech (to a degree) will be the advancement. Other than that, its pretty much playing for the fun of playing.

"LAST POST"

I have read all the posts up to this and have answered the ones I wanted to. My entire purpose of this thread was to try and ask questions and make suggestions in order for MWO to be a better game. A recent title that was released was Jagged Alliance Back In Action in which, after release, the devs really listened to the players and made changes to the game that players wanted, was trying to do that here, although the game is not released yet. Yeah maybe I jumped the gun a little and should have spent more time researching the game, but I was really excited because MW was one of my favorite games and it has been A LONG TIME since anything decent has been released in this genre.

To the people that PM'ed me, will get back with you later, still not sure if I am going to get this one or not.

To the devs, I would say good luck, but I don't believe in luck, you either do or do not have the skill to release a decent title. Really hope this will be a good game, remember not to make knee jerk reactions(changes) based upon kiddie posts on the public forums.(and you have a lot of kiddies here)

To the players that actually added something constructive to the thread, power to ya and hope to see you in game.

To the kiddies: I apologize because I really wanted to spend more time with you, been a long time since I posted on a forum with so many people willing to entertain me for free. I will make the game "special" for you because if I do play the game I wont change my name so when you see me in game, you can be like: "OMG DUDEZ there is that fker that thinks hes a pro and ran his mouth on da forumz, lets pwn hims! And in the event that you actually get lucky(LOL) and kill me, you can touch yourself in that special spot down there.

P.S. POWER TO THE PLAYER!

P.P.S. I am still willing to cough up $120 if I can see this in an open beta and the offer is still availible...

For those that have sent me PM's I will get back to you later.

Offering advice on a game you've never played smacks, at best, of extreme narcissism. Simple as that. Not sure if you're a troll, but if you're not then you are at best a damn stuck up fool.
