Anyone know how many questions he actually asked? I'll put a rough estimate at 5, 3 of which seriously pertained to MWO. I'd tell this pretentious dick to go fall down some stairs and get a new hip, but seeing as he has avascular necrosis I'm sure that's already on his to do list.

They keyword being advance. You do not advance in MWO. You broaden your horizons. Each mech is competetive, so you do not advance at all. You get better equipment and weapons, but you can't pay for those, only for c-bill boosters. Paying for mechs is not advancing, more like side stepping. You move out, not up.

i have said all along I wanted to see what happens here when (just as in every other mech title to date and you all know its true)
that players steeped in the lore but unable to compete with casual players with better skill, meet over and over.
i am not saying all lore players have no skills, thats wrong and we all know it.
im saying in every game so far there are tons of battletech people though, that try to stay canon and do things like tro configs, fighting battles the way clan warriors would ect. ect. only to fall in servers with the players who are just natural better pc gamers, they will only use the obvious "best weps/mechs" for that time, when new weps are introduced they are always the first to identify the best of them and quickly see how they best match with the current items. they learn every trick in the book, they know every sweet spot on every map.
it is going to happen here to and you are silly if you think its not.
there will be people that will pay real$$ for anything the devs may deem to offer in the future and then will still be owned by the better gamers,
The op seems to get this, thats what i saw in his post.
Theres no way the devs for this game will be able to please every one, and make money to keep it going at the same time.
If there are enough hardcore Battletech players in the world to keep the devs in money over the long haul, GREAT!
But rest assured their goal will be to draw as many players as possible, PERIOD.
And if the devs dont care about the casual pc gamer that will pay to play, this game wont last long.
ANY discussion on how to appeal to the most paying players while pleasing the Battletech players that have waited for something like this since the first time they made a piloting skill roll should be welcome for what is.
I have very high hopes for this game over the long run and plan on being very patient.
I dont see much from the OP that should ruffle the feathers i see.
The only trolling i see are people posting without making comments on his points.

What do you call a D student in medical school who sticks it out? Doctor.
Not blasting the OP, but anytime you throw the word "professional" before something, it implies a very large spread of knowledge and experience, and understanding of the components involved with a subject. From the suggestions of the OP, he fails to meet those requirements as he does not have basic design or balance understandings. And posting "I am a professional" invites inspection of your character and credentials.
