[Wolf Clearwater]

I would like to see the Wolfhound get added as the next IS light mech please. Especially if you would style the cockpit to be something like the Panther is. I want my wolf themed mech! Please!?

I would like to see the wolf hound but it's another 35 ton mech. I really think the mongoose would be better. Laser boat but at 25 tons and fast to boot

The Wolfhound does have three timeline appropriate variants (the WLF-1, WLF-1A, and WLF-1B), and PGI can use a combination of hardpoint-inflation and quirks to make them sufficiently different from one another.

And dont forget the Wolfhound IIc HERO mech of Phelan KELL ... so the first HERO for Clan players might be possible !

Another 35 ton laser boat and one that cannot jump? No thanks. especially when the "star" is phelen and he is a Wolf Khan. The Javelin that can both be a missile boat and an energy boat WITH jjs would be much better.

The Wolfhound IIC was a one-off custom build where it didn't go into mass production, like the Schwerer Gustav and a few other 'Mechs.
And, being based on Clan tech, it wouldn't fit with the other variants.

If PGI is considering material up to 3052, then the WLF-2 becomes another available variant (and better fits the Wolfhound family as the high-tech IS-built variant).

And a more likely basis for a Hero Wolfhound is the long-lived (3028 to 3069) personal BattleMech of Daniel Allard.

Is not it what a Hero mech is supposed to be? Just like Yen-Lo-Wang...

I doubt the Wolfhound IIc would be included because it is a Clan tech basis, and all the others are IS tech based. As far as Clan hero mechs go, the (I)Invasion series sold for MC could cover most of those issues. Yeah, so it is a 35 ton energy boat, most of the others (IS) can jump, the Wolfhound can't. I would still pilot it, would love to see it.

That specific statement was describing why it wouldn't work as a standard variant.

The very next sentence - "And, being based on Clan tech, it wouldn't fit with the other variants" - is why it wouldn't work as a Hero 'Mech, either, for the same reason as given in Wolf Clearwater's post ("I doubt the Wolfhound IIc would be included because it is a Clan tech basis, and all the others are IS tech based").

Don't really care one way or another on this one. The Wolfhound is a wonderful IS Light mech, but there are plenty of other great IS Light mechs that could still be released. This is one of many.

However, if it was released, I would certainly get it.
