If you have dropped with or against me in the last few days.....
I am sorry.
I will try to not do that in the future.

Takes a big person to say that DJ. We are not always our best, and it takes character to do something about it when we realize.
Respect.

I don't know about VOIP, since I only use ts.
But it was in Puglandia, so I really don't care. Sometime, I also drop there for suiciding or trolling.

1: if you break a plate and then apologize, does this cause the plate to b3 repaired? Nope. 6our apologies are worthless words. Actions count, words do not.
2: if a video game makes you angry enough to say things to strangers that you later feel the need to apologize for your abusive actions, you have srrious anger issues and should see a psychologist.

The action is fixing a verbal dispute with a verbal apology. What else is there to do? You can buy a new plate, but then what would you do for this?

Not necessarily. You're assuming the degree to which he did it falls upon (presumably) your own values-- he could have a much lower threshold for apologies.

It takes a man to admit when he is wrong, and for that, I give you this Classy Dinosaur.

If you break a plate and do not apologize, you're just an *******. Contrition means something.
And I'm there with you, DJ. As badly as I was insulted when I started playing, I've slowly become what I hate. Had my worst losing streak in 6 months a few nights ago. Just wanted the 2x xp on my 3 Zeuses. Started at 11:30 at night. Got first two by midnight. Had to get up for work at 6:30. Got my win on my 3rd Zeus after five hours, at 5:00 AM. 5 hours of losses. At some point it was just stubborness "I ain't going to bed until i get a win, dammit!" And, yeah, I was exhausted and pissed and said a lot of things I feel badly about, in retrospect. (although, the game on tourmaline when fully half my team, including the assaults, chased a locust halfway across the map, I take nothing back there).
Maybe time for a bit of a break.

Just handle it like (insert racial creed here) with one hand on the drink and the other shooting an AC20 in someone's arse!
I was going to say, the Irish, because of ... um, arse, and drink, but then I realized, they don't have any Ac 20's
I think i'm in the wrong thread....MEDIC!

That really isn't a problem though. The problem is when you actually *share* those words with others. Saying things can let you vent emotionally but actually telling people how you feel with no filter at all never helps the situation. Like the old saying goes, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. So rather than contribute to the problem, learn to self-censor and just say nothing if you're about to go off on someone. If you try to give someone advice and they insult you, just drop the whole conversation right there and forget about it. No matter how hard you verbally shred someone, it won't quell your anger, it won't really make you feel better, and it sure as hell won't make them suddenly play better and smarter.
I call this game "the salt mine" because there's almost no limit to the level of rage and frustration people have over the most trivial of things. Adding to the sodium levels only makes it worse. I'm no saint, and I have been part of the problem more often than I like to admit, but I at least try to avoid negativity and complement players on a job well done. Why? One, because I almost NEVER see anyone else do it, and two, it actually makes the game more fun for others, and enjoyable for myself.

Disagree.
1: A verbal apology is not an action, any more than saying you wish someone would die counts as killing them. All his apology is for is to make HIM feel better, not anyone else. Its self serving and transparent.
2: No, as it matters not what level he feels the need to apologize for is, I stated "if you feel the need to apologize for it" which means it is based PURELY on what HE thinks is bad enough to apologize for. Please read the ACTUAL words I wrote BEFORE replying. thanks.
Furthermore, HE HIMSELF states he was made VERBALLY ABUSIVE to other players over a VIDEO GAME. Thats not my subjectivness. That is a solid fact presented by himself, and if a GAME makes you ABUSIVE, you have ANGER ISSUES. That is a FACT.

No, breaking the plate makes you the (redacted). Your "contrition" or lack thereof does not take away from the (redacted) nature of the action.

You've never broken something by accident? How does that make you an *******? Makes you clumsy but not an *******. Lack of contrition is what makes you the *******. It shows you don't care that you did something wrong. Only perfect people do nothing wrong and, well, let's face it there's no perfect people in the world.

And what constitutes abuse is ambiguous. He could've either went on a full rant or called somebody a {Richard Cameron}-- we don't know which one.
As for "actions," what action, then, can count in place of words? If apologies don't matter, than his angry words don't matter, and the whole point of this is void.

Though as far as I'm concerned any player who relies on consumable usage as the main form of gameplay can burn at the stake.
