Should I be butthurt too. They didn't ask the question I had. I wonder how many questions were sent in. Sounds like some folks were being GREEDY, asking a bunch instead of just ONE. greedy *******...
That's right Almond.... you tell em! Greedy folks some are, and they just have the "want it all" syndrome on one more thing!
I signed up for a twitch account(which is something I don't do) so I too could ask Russ one very simple question several town hall meetings ago. It was regarding IMO, and some others opinion, just how poor the rewards and earnings really are in this game and if PGI had any intention of increasing the earnings to reduce the grind just a bit for ALL PLAYERS. NGNG mod's, took it upon their selves to completely change the wording of my Question, leaving out the part about the grind being a very painful one, and the direct question to Russ if they plan on increasing earnings for each match played for ALL PLAYERS, or not.
All they did by asking "their" question instead of the one I asked, is give Russ the chance to tell of some "bright" future coming to us in this game, instead of honestly addressing a issue that makes for a very dim/dark past and present when it comes to the lack of earnings we have all endured. With those poor earnings we have all endured comes very poor game play from many players, with one goal, to "get the C-bills at any cost" even at their own teams expense. The earnings and lack of depth in this game breed this type of play style... just the nature of the beast. I see this behavior in events, weekend challenges, and everyday that I play the game, which is becoming less and less as of late.
All of the "spinning" and boasting of things to come to help keep players interested did nothing to address the real issue at hand regarding my question, changing the wording of of my question, taking it as a chance to do so really told me a lot about the PGI's intentions and most likely just where they intend to take this game, and this bright future Russ spoke of after my "fake" question was asked to him.
Bottom line, they changed the wording of my question, till it wasn't the question I had asked at all... they made it into their question, regarding the new player experience and asked Russ what he planned on doing in the future to keep them interested in the game. I called them out on it as soon as they asked the question... they ignored my chat that I typed until after Russ had gone off the air. They said they was sorry about it, they didn't mean too do it, and that they was short staffed on that town hall meeting, etc. etc. I pretty much told them that I wouldn't recommend anyone to listen in on the their broadcast's if this is how they do things. Once again one of the Mod's told me that it was a mistake and they don't change the wording of the questions, it must of been a "misunderstanding".
I have listened in on only one town hall after that one, and that is the one they changed the format over to taking each question and what a person types into chat or the forums and show's it on the screen to make sure they "get it right". Sounds like to me after reading the OP's post, Things are pretty much running how they want them to run on there. I didn't listen in last night, didn't have the time to do so. Sounds like listening in and asking questions are a waste of time if that is how NGNG wants to do things.
