  • Yes the new SCR and TBR variants will make use of some negative quirks on the particular omnipods in question.

  • Goal is to have those new variants and pods maintain at the same bar not raise it.

  • VERY difficult to do on first attempt but we will try then iterate as necessary

Good, we don't want them to be gods, but maybe demigods...?

Title is kinda misleading.

Most likely they will affect the particularly "hardpoint filled" omnipods, such as the 6E Stormcrow arm, or the 3E Timberwolf Left Torso.

Rejoice! The mechs that don't suffer from lack of hardpoints, useless locked equipment, oversized hitboxes or poor hitbox layout finaly get the nerfs they deserved.

THE MECHS WILL NOT BE GETTING CHASSIS NERFS.

THE NEW OMNI PODS associated with the NEW VARIANTS however will be getting NEGATIVE QUIRKS.

That will just make it easier not to spend real money on them. Just gonna wait for the cbill release.

And the reason for negative quirks to exist is?

A little pet peeve with that new Timber ST is not using the lower point that is used for energy on the Prime. It reduced the high mounts to two and keeps all three on that side.

So I'd like to see this:

An alternative is having the Ballistic spot above the lower Energy hardpoint, become a second energy (The Ballistic spot of the S side torso), so that there is only one high energy hardpoint available for the Timber.

I'm fine with whatever if it achieves balance.

Honestly, in a competitive scene, mechs should be all about weapon style, and preferred chassis style.

Maybe they could make a classic mode where it's 4 table top style clan, vs 12 table top style IS for those that want the original power experience.

We already have HBR with 4 (FOUR) high mounted hardpoints and no one even talks about it being OP.

I think negative quirks are not a bad thing.
Allows to have more positive attributes (quirks or otherwise) somewhere else and still have a balanced mech.
And that makes mechs overall more unique.

Speaking as a Clan warrior..
Neg, these were not needed. I am quite curious to see their negative quirks.

Anyway, i will not likely use them, i already have configurations i love and anyway, i need the TBR-S torsos for the JJs.
