I love the Cauldron Born. Always have. BUT, why the LEGS! Those things are HUGE. Imagine a Cicada on a Stalkers Legs. That's what this looks like.
The Cauldron Born has always been a wide, low slung, fugly mech. But, I get it. They already have the Timber Wolf Animation Rig, and just want to save time and money. But could they at least scale the legs down, Just a LITTLE.
Sorry, but I just am not happy with what they have done to my ugly baby.

Well, people wouldn't buy it if it was THAT ugly. Though things like the Gargoyle sell so idk.
I think the legs are just the right size for the mech. I think you're definitely being affected by how ugly the thing is supposed to look. (Well, okay, they are a bit wide but I think it's more of a thing where they're trying to make it look slightly out of balance. I think it would look fine if they enlarged the Timberwolf-like CT a bit to offset the difference in mass.)
Having had a look at the mech "structure" as it would look to the game engine, I'd say that this mech will walk quite differently to the Timberwolf, despite looking like it's a variant on the same base as some other clan mechs.

Thats not an ugly mech at all. The assault may be ugly though. I think the Cauldron Born will be a superior mech in the Thunderbolt role. Worste case scenario for Inner Sphere is that the CB is to the TW what the Loki is to the Thor.
