Now my dreams are dashed on the rocks of PGI limitations.
I weep. I mourn my beautiful gun-bristled design spec as I toss it into the garbage for a lesser, 16-gun build...

It's been like that for a long time. Nova could exceed it since Clan Launch.

the problem is that theres no way to put multiple machine guns in one ballistic slot
we need something like machine gun arrays where you can pay extra tonnage to take multiple machine guns in one ballistic hardpoint

Removing or reducing the CoF plus 1dps would be a better place to start.
