Hello PGI, (Specifically Community Manager and Marketing)

I'm rolly. I've been around this game for a bit. I love BT and I love the MW universe. I would like this game and your company to succeed, but I'm pretty jaded lately because of the lack of agency to help/shape the direction of this game.

So I'm gonna throw this one out there because I appreciate what you're done here and make an attempt at being part of the community building solution and unify what I love to do with what I love to play.

I want to volunteer my services and experience as PGI's and MWO's Event Planner. My feature is to admit/allow someone like me (community players who have skills and the willingness to help) help.

The only caveat is that you help me create work opportunities for my staff, allow me to create volunteer opportunities for youth and other BT/MW fans, AND donate any unplated catering to Second Harvest.

How can I help?
I'm an Event Planner with over 10 years experience in the event industry, I want to use my knowledge and experience to help you with outreach, planning and executing your events and even perhaps a launch, and eventually a MW:O Fan/Expo/Press Release/Expo/Conference what have you.

Please consider this and I appreciate your time and a response.

Thanks. I do hope they at least address it in some way. I know I can help coordinate and help bring about new events to MWO. I imagine one day it would be really cool to do a MWO Convention, Fan meet and/or a Re-launch this game once CW is finally up and respectably running.

If you were a professional, you'd know that there are appropriate ways to contact another company with a business offer.

Yeah...wouldn't this kinda thing be dealt with via professional/formal email, normally?

I mean I doubt Russ & them use twitter to that extent.

That and you wouldn't submit such an offer with typos left in...

There is more than one way to contact people. You assume I haven't done so via other means.

By "appropriate" you refer to "standard ways" to ignore and file away with a standard template response. This is not a business offer its a volunteerism opportunity. If you can't see that or the potential or the positive effect of it it can potentially have on the wider audience. Oh well, not my problem - but a professional would see that.

Good Luck Rolly.
Thank you for offering, regardless of whether it works out or not.

As appropriate I'd consider E-Mail, Phone, Snail-Mail or even paying them a direct visit. I would even accept private messaging through the forum an acceptable answer.

Even if you work for free, it is still a business offering. You want to get "hired" for a job, you believe they can't do on their own or that they are doing badly. If that isn't your believe you wouldn't make that offer.

By making the offer publicly, you are directly embarrissing a potential contractee (you wouldn't make that offer if you believed they could do it themself) and yourself (when you don't get a response through this channel). With this thought in mind, please tell me, how the offer you are making here, is in any way professional. Or how it is even a feature suggestion for the game.

From your performance here, I'd say you are not better then the ones you (in)directly accuse of being bad.

I think PGI is doing fine the way things are. If you had extensive experience in making maps however that would be different story.

@rolly: Just ignore Egomane. He's always got a bone to pick about something. Kudos for offering, although I'm not sure if PGI will take you up on this, so don't get your hopes too high. Offering to volunteer was a nice gesture though.

By the way, if you haven't seen it, there is a thread about developing a Mentorship System for MWO. If this Event Planning doesn't pan out, maybe you can find something in the Metorship area where you can add in your own ideas and services. Hopefully, it is something that PGI will move on soon.

Best of luck!
