A couple of games vs good units I've been knocked out in the 1st 5 minutes when they camp one of the landing zones and demolish mechs as they get dropped off. The tactic being to make it an less then 12 vs 12 as early as possible.
Defenders at risk of being spawn camped should really try driving the enemy out instead of taking positions away from the LZ and letting their mates get slaughtered in the process.
As for attackers, they should learn to regroup much closer to their LZ and protect it when one of their waves are wiped out, instead of heading back to to the front line one at a time.

Instead of going for objectives for the win, the farmers are out in force going for kills for the loss.
In case anyone else is wondering, I am referring to assault drops, which only Clans can do.

Lol.
49 - 2 Win - Loss over the event so far, group sizes ranging from 3-12.
100% of games we killed at least 47 mechs before even thinking about the Objectives - ignoring objectives and killing the enemy first is a completely valid tactic, and in fact against decent opponents is probably the best strategy, since they can easily get a nice kill lead if you worry too much about shooting non-combatant Gens when there are enemies around..

The problem was there were only 2 minutes left in an assault fight.

Even if your group runs back to help, it is really difficult breaking out of being spawn camped.
3-4 mechs focusing on a drop, the rest is keeping the homecoming guys busy. Three alphas in your face kills near any mech.
Every lost mech is just getting the snowballing bigger.
I at least never experienced a breakout and turn of the game from a competently set up spawn camp.

Practice is everything. As such, trying is still better than doing nothing (or worse, hiding).

But will this mean I have to start caring again? ;-)
Care leads to desire. Desire leads to disappointment. Disappointment leads to posts in the forum.
So...you post because you care?

Yes there are some units with bad attitudes and some only for the highly skilled, but a lot more social welcoming ones.
Find a unit or just the faction forums (they have their own privatly hosted sites), go on the public teamspeaks like mech-connect, post in the recruitment section here and just say exactly what you are looking for in a unit and invites will turn up.
You will find friendly players easily.
Learn a lot quickly, get to run with groups rather than the crazy solo suicide rushers.

There is disappointment, betrayal, revenge, cowardice and finally the unexpected...
