I appreciate that they extended it, but it seems that the initial flaws will continue throughout.

IS players are kind of screwed. I currently see a long queue for IS players and no Clan players... likely because Clan players already got their points, and don't need to play any more.

So it will still require many people to switch to Clans to balance things out...

I've played 5 hours a day, for 3 days, always in a 12 man drop (LFG), and I only have 18 games played, 17 of which count towards the tournament. So, Im going to require at least 20 more hours to get the mech, and 30 more hours to get the top prize. There is currently 80 hours left in the tournament.

The personal goals were impossible to reach. To expect more than 5 hours a day (to even expect that to be honest) is far out side of what should be expected by a game designer.

What I told you not everyone should win the top prize?

I would tell you that many people give a rat´s ass about the stupid prices and would just like to play.
Instead of waiting.

Of those who want the stupid prices, their game performance should decide if they get them or not.
Not a frigging staring contest in the queue.

But then I am talking to HARDKOR, so maybe I should better go and discuss this with a brick wall.
The brick wall might not have missed this point after it was repeated dozens of time on this forum.

Eh...the problem is that this event isn't about skill. Getting 80 points in CW? You could spend every match [Redacted] and controlling your mech with your feet and still hit that.

This isn't a challenge of skill...it's a challenge of how many hours you're willing to sit in front of your computer waiting in queue.

Solution? Give players an event point for every 80 points they make in a match. 80? 1 point. 160? 2 points. 240? 3 points. Easy.

Try actually REWARDING players for carrying.

No, but I've probably played as many hours as you have. if you deserve the top prize then so should the others that have spent an equal amount of time. Right now, only clan is going to get it.

Honestly think they should have just ended it Sunday and gone back to regular CW instead of this mess of an event. All the one extension did was add 3 more days of meaningless-ness to the war for the planet and remove a large chunk of the population from having any effect on the final outcome.

Wait times, bugs, etc
It is very hard to make event
We need more time to get prizes
I want one weekend more for this event

Yes- I have managed to get some drops in, however my clan mate has been suffering errors pretty constantly. More time is needed.

I voted NO. Let PGI analyze this events data, put out some more CW content, do some more fixes, then worry about phat l3wtz.

Why? They can do that even with an extension, two more days isn't going to make a difference but it can give an honest chance to a lot of folks that despite the insane queuetimes are halfway there.

If you mean me then no it's not enough because the event is already running. It's a failure but at least give people a fair shot at doing the challenge with a reasonable amount of hours spent/day.

The stuff is worth, what? 5 bucks?

I´d send PGI 5 bucks to end this torment.

EDIT

Damn, now I gave them an idea, didn´t I?

Yeah, I'm still calling b.s. on that. There's no way he was dropping pug and getting 10 minute queues on Saturday evening like he was claiming. All the 12 mans that could hop over the pug queue were barely getting under that mark.

No offense, just find it strange this was started by a Wolf since they are still leading.
Not too surprised though, happy I skipped this event and still avoid CW, may try it once when I get Clan Wave 3 just to see that perspective.

The pocket change isn't the issue. A lot of people started out thinking they'd have a realistic chance at 40 p. Now that this has been proven wrong a fair portion of the playerbase that tried to tough it out the first days are now sitting with a bunch of games (spent time) that might be worth nothing.

Exactly how does it hurt you that PGI acknowledge their error and give two days extra so fewer have to walk away empty handed?

I am completely with you that it is unfair not being able to complete the callange because derp queue.

But your solution is not helping people to calm down.

If you ask me, just hand out the candy, apologize and quit this **** instead of dragging this out until the majority of the playerbase will never touch CW again.

Knowing Russ he probably just calculated an average between 30 seconds (clans) and 25 minutes (IS).

I mean, they wouldn´t lie to us, right?
...
Right?
...
...
Right?
