Help Me To Choose A Fast Brawler...

right now i consider the following ones:
a ) stormcrow
pros: relatively cheap, fast queue times, cool 'moderate giver' title, as fast as kitfox, good hitboxes, plenty of missle hardpoints for srms, head and torso laser hardpoints
cons: fugly name, fugly looks, fugly fidgety ass, no jump jets, only 1 possible ballistic point in the left arm, no ecm
b ) hellbringer
pros: ecm, relatively fast for its class, plenty of weight for weapons, one of the favorite mechs of joanna who is one of my favorite heroes from the lore, torso ballistic, missile and energy hardpoints
cons: the longest queue times, high priority target, slower than scr/kfx, hitboxes seem more vulnerable than scr/tbr(?), humanoid form, no jump jets, edgy name, and last but not least - only 2 possible missile hardpoints for srms if you pick ecm
c ) timber wolf
pros: mad cat <3, then wolves are nice too, fast for its class, plenty weight for weapons and plenty different hardpoints, versatile and generally considered the best mech in the game, jump jets
cons: the longest queue times, slower than scr/kfx, top priority target, the most expensive of these, no ecm, the top triple laser hardpoint is behind the paywall for a while (not like i want it), as the most hated mech it's always a possible target for heavy nerfs
mad dog and nova seems to be worse than aforementioned ones
i'm torn between these 3...

The ugly looks pain me, but I forgive it for looking so horrible every time I fire off a volley of Skill SRM's and deal a metric fuckton of damage.

For what you describe, I'd suggest the Stormcrow. Bouncy ass walking animation combined with tiny torso hitboxes spread damage really well. Plus it's fast enough to get you into and out of trouble.
Just be aware that whichever of the three you go with, you will be on the receiving end of focus fire. A lot.

Just got my Timber, yesterday. Doing 5 CMPL with it, as well. With CLRM15x2, MGs x2, and a BAP. Going to swap it around some later on with LPLs but, for now; it's fun the way it is.

Stormcrow can go full streak, which is okay @ 300 ping and very useful for CW.
Timber can go LBX 20 + quad a-srm 4, a sweet brawler build.

actually, testing it in the heat simulator, it's funny, it seems it's better to shoot 5 srms not even shooting the single med laser which you pick with them at all, it gives significantly higher dps and less risk to shut down. i think i once saw a srm crow with 5 launchers and tag, i smiled but it seems not that bad now, while srms dont benefit from it, that person got additional exp and money for tagging and if a laser decreases dps and you can bring ammo for 22+ salvos (1300 potential damage, ~1.3 minute of non-stop alphas if it was possible heat-wise) so not like you need a back up weapon anyway...
>in all honest, you should get all three.
also, i'm a poor newbie, i somehow managed to spend ~30 mil for 3 kit foxes, their weapon (for all 3 and plenty of spare which was proven less useful), omnipods, equipement and 1 zoom module and now i should get 3 crows having ~3 mil... and you are talking about getting 9 pricy mechs (speed tweak is just too useful as well as double efficiency on heat related skills)

P D: I thought that u was a fan of mg weapons O.o
P D 2: Whatever mech u pick,if u continue having 300 ping, its impossible to play right. My other tip was give a chance to LRM boats,in general those mechs are friendly with users with low FPS and high ping.

also consider cw, if/when i participate in the current event, i have to use a deck of 3 kfx and a trial scr or hbr or mdd... the most important stat to count your score (80 minimum) it's damage... i dont care of cw with its horrible balance in every possible way, hordes of full premades who are matched vs pugs for some ungodly reason, long games and therefore less earnings etc, but it's the way to farm free mech bays
as for ping, it's impossible to decrease till pgi introduce european servers, i already have optic cable and isp which usually have the best routing
lurms are boring and lurm boats are helpless vs anybody who bother to approach them and are hard countered with ecm, radar derp etc stuff

If u want damage then the Mad Cat was ur mech, high firepower but first target at sametime. About ping,i usually play with 140 ping or more, and i have optic fiber with 100 mb,so i stay like u in part. Since PGI dont put EU servers we must play with all the game offer "LURMS" is the easy way,i have other account with a Catapult A1 with a pair of 10 LURMS and Artemis, usually i did in every match we win, about 200 damage minimal. Its the easy way,i find boring too,but not necessary useless. I had in my team in one public match a Hunchback with 4 five LURMS,he did five kills and we win the match. About changing account i stay with this account with the Cicada caused i like to face enemy to close quarters, this way its more difficult, but more funny, either more confortable when u kill one mech or destroy a component. Im not a master of lasers so i enjoy machine gun mechs. (Wow some wall of text, sorry xD) So in the end, pick the mech what have the weapons that u are more skilled,u said ACs,then try ballistic clan mech, forgot Stormcrow that only have 1 point of ballistic and u going to boring if u dont stay right with ur mech equipped with weapons that u are not skilled.

Gauss+cERPPC hovertarting isn't too bad, but it feels underpowered to me. 2xcUAC/5 in the high mounts can be quite nice, if you like poking your way to victory. If you want to run hot and/or die because your arms weapons shot the hill in front of you, UAC/20 4erML is pretty fun.
Summoners just can't laser vomit like the rest of the clans. In a way that makes them a little more fun because you really have to try and find something you like and with which you can can be effective.

it's actually pity because for me it's even more iconic than timber wolf, the very first bt book which i read ages ago it was the trilogy about aidan pryde so i thought that summoner was kind of default clan mech and it was unclear who and why even pilot those kit foxes (they used them to train cadets before they get to drive the real mech - summoner :3), vipers, stormcrows etc summoner's prey :3 seriously, cadets in aidan's first groups passed their exam on summoners, cadets of his second group passed it again on summoners (nobody even asked them what they want) etc
