I dont know about aim bots in this game. Ive only seen one instance where I suspected something fishy. During this event I dropped in a CW match. A pug vs pug. My team got beat real bad, but everyone on my team kept saying Hax. After the match we looked at the scoreboard and there was one guy on the opposing team that had an almost 400 rating (390 I think.) 15 kills, and did just shy of 3k damage with one death. Maybe the guy just had a really good game but it seemed fishy to us because we were dropping like flies to this guy. Hard for me to personally say though. I dont know much about aim bots and such.

I assure you there are players that are completely capable of said things. I like to drop in pugs because I know I am better than most players in this game. I average anywhere from 2.5k-4.5k damage a game depending on who I'm facing AND who I am playing with. Should I seriously be reported for being a competent and deadly force in the field because people think I'm hacking? I assure you I don't hack and despise people that do. I can't play any of my old favorites because of POS hackers.
I only played 2 games yesterday and this was my first game I linked it in another post I haven't even played a game today yet. Please understand that there are pilots who are just straight up good who play completely legitimately. Their form of fun is to win.

Very funny. The damage counts for both teams dont add up to a legit match.

Curious since it was a legit match... Where do you think this excess damage came from?
Edit: If this is the case at all and assuming your math is correct

You know that for sure? You have proof?

Thats a pretty bold statement....

People can just use the hack undetected. You'll never know unless they tell you.

The most redundant and idiotic statement concerning this game. You're not competing vs. 11 other players on your team, you're coordinating with them. This isn't friggin Pokemon 1 player only game, there is not kill stealing. Stop with the nonsense.

... .. ...
There was kill-stealing in Pokemon? Man...I missed out on the version where you got to murder adorable japanese monsters.

Do you want me to send the link to cheat sites that also include MWO? Google MWO Aimbot and take the second link. Cheaters exist in all games. I quit Wildstar due to the abundance of cheats.

Right, because no one would ever lie on the internet...
Surely not every one of those 'programs' is a trojan...right?

If that is all the 'evidence' that you have, you don't have anything.

I'd like to believe there are hackers but I don't wear tinfoil hats.

The closest hack I've seen in the Gauss macro that fires it almost instantly. Which I think is a HUGE advantage and should be looked into as a violation.

You know it would have been easier to say no you don't know for sure and have no proof, but your gut tells you it is true.

Lol, for real? Best Maddog build EVAR.

Macros were always defined as 'not cheating' by PGI. Though hearing ppl whine about them is funny.

You can go 6, but then you can't get the weapon groups to work right, unless you have no other weapons. I was sad. If only there were more weapon groups allowed.

At the risk of this appearing like e-peen stroking, this was a match I dropped solo in against some pretty awful players (on both sides tbh). I abhore cheats in all games but having a decent game does not a cheat make. Best way to tell for sure is to spectate them and preferably record the footage. Much easier to spot hacks doing that, and collect proof. Sucks if you are on wrong side/team though.

EDIT: Image posting fail - will sort later.

It would be very hard to tell that someone is using the hack while trying not to be obvious about it. They have to be very blatant abuses/trolling. Which isn't where the issue with hacks.

Without any videos or similar proof, this remains an academic debate.

The Space Pope has learned over time that it is best not to call "hax" unless someone is caught red handed through means that provide solid proof.

The aimbot/wallhack has been around forever, but I tend never to assume someone is using it because it costs money and only the rare true sad cases resort to it. To the victim it usually makes no difference whether they were killed by skill or hax anyway, either way it's time to shrug and drop again. Obviously though, when cash prize tournaments get involved it's an actual problem because there's more at stake than someone's epeen kdr and pride.

Aimbots and wallhacks are available. Its is a PROVEN sad fact that some will pay to obtain them and then use them to say I am UBER, ME SO SPECIAL.

Anyone who can figure out to create a MWO account is also cable of searching for and finding such sites.

If that makes you special then all the forum posting won't stop you. Even saying "deep down you know you suck" will likely just roll off you like water off a ducks back.

I myself to chose to drop with a damn good unit. Having fun getting what kills I can and rooting on those better than me.

MWO is a game and fun, too bad so many have to be #1 at any cost.

I've seen the video, and it's true. The game is hacked, in the worst possible way. And it's not a new hack, MWO has been hacked since day 1.

I'm so dissapointed... I've been playing against a bunch of cheaters all this time...

Anyone else run-into a Clan unit running aim bots?
My team did and it was incredible. Worst defeat I can remember EVER in CW.
Our team is competent but the firepower, lack of friendly fire in close quarters, the speed of the aggression and the rain of missiles before any conceivable lock from visual or UAV was overwhelming.
First time we have been so decisively crushed ever. We've has skunks but this was much worse.

I was so stunned i failed to take a screen shot (for ah...private use of course), anyone else have this experience?

Cheers,

G7

Must have missed that one last night, Gorgo... was it worse that our match on Saturday morning? A 4TCR 11-man was up against a clan 10-man... the speed with which they cut us down was really hard to believe as legit... we were down around 25-30 to 1, then they stopped really trying... final was 48-13...

Now 4TCR is no comp unit, but we're veteran and not pugs... NEVER had a whooping like that, not by Lords, 420, etc... fought an 8-man from the same unit the day before, they whooped us 48-18...

Maybe they're just that good? Hard to believe...

Took a screenshot of the final score, but what do I do with that? Does PGI have some sort of review process if a player makes a complaint? From what I've heard, PGI has neither the ability, resources, or desire to investigate and ban people for these offenses... Am I wrong?
