I love mech on mech fights, but sometimes it can get a little tedious once in a while. Diversions should be implimented in the game. These mini-games are ways to gain extra money, gain more loyality points or to get you more experience while others exist just for fun. Some examples could be answering questions about your house, playing an arcade simulator, gambling, learning parts of a mech, or learning about the era of a game. Different places should determine what kind of diversion it is like bars(money and entertainment), mech hangars(XP), or military academies(history and LP) for example. Diverisions are for players who just want to take a break from the battlefield and relax.

Chat rooms, Libraries (hint - perhaps a way to increase chances of finding lost tech while learning more about the Innersphere and Clan history), game rooms (though this seams redundant), Casino's (lose the farm, not the mech) and Mech Bay (purhaps if a player spent enough time here they could repair their mech for free) and whatever other places might add some flair to the game.

I thought the diversion from the mech on mech fights was turning off the computer and going outside?

Hehehe. I like that too. But seriously, it's for players who want gain money, lp, and xp if they don't want to do it by using means of combat. Keep the ideas comin though, they're good.

Umm.... if they don't want giant robot battles, maybe they're playing the wrong game, then? You actually want to reward people for not playing?

I like playing mechs but it will be great to play some kind of mini-game in MWO from time to time

Considering that I can do all that by closing the game client and doing something else, I don't think it's worth the effort.

Look, No one is forcing you to do these activities. If you want to progress in combat that's fine, but these are optional in case if you want a little extra boost for yourself.

I'd love to be able to visit some seedy tavern, a briefing room, a field HQ and the like in avatar form. A guild hall might be interesting. Maybe you visit your repair guys in the mech bay and from time to time they scrounge up a free ton of ammo or find a great deal on a medium laser replacement or maybe they say "you're outta luck...had to fork over a fortune to repair this PPC." You could pay them c-bills bonuses to increase the odds of a random good things happen.
