Rules of the thread.
1)You must be willing to buy your own pack. Aim for realistic, if you add a joke have a serious answer too.
2) Can't be a Mechpack and it can't have a Hero Mech.

IE:
Treadheads pack:
Includes 12 Player vs Enemy fully voice acted Missions
5 Cockpit Items
5 Warhorns
Early Access to Tank Drops in PUG queue
Includes the Saladin hovercraft and Paladin Artillery battery
10 Early Access Maps
New Game mode City Siege ( includes 10 Tanks +2 Mechs vs 10 tanks +2 mechs)
Infantry AI included
Destructables and New sound
Price $45
all content is early access

Mechwarrior booster pak ™.

Singleplayer campaign.
Mechlab integrated into the base game, rather than on a separate third party site.
Balanced gameplay.
No grab deals.
Player-hosted servers.
Cryengine graphics, features, and tech, such as inverse kinematics, tesselations, long draw distances, destructible environments, big maps, and interactivity.
Gameplay featuring infantry, combat vehicles, aerotech, tanks, mechs, and power armor.

60 dollars, no strings attached.

Single player campaign is the only thing that comes to mind. As a completely separate entity, with no impact on PUG matches or CW. I don't think infantry is realistic at all, I'm just expecting tanks, hovercraft, turrets, mechs, dropships and maybe helicopters.

But I would want the ability to play it offline. Yeah, I know what the O in MWO stands for. But single player experiences don't need to be online. The guys behind the latest SimCity learned that the hard way.

OP, thanks for asking!

My pack would include (for the price of 60 bucks)...

12 - 20 new multiplayer maps with a new ticket-based game mode like Battlefield 1942/Mechwarrior Living Legends

8v8 mode for the standard maps (because 12v12 stinks)

A single player campaign like Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries where the results/playthroughs are variable
(and of course they'd use those maps released for multiplayer)

Some new weapons/tech

And some fixes to gamebreaking issues

No new robits. We have enough robits. We need stuff to use them on!

PLUS: Solaris VI arenas + the new arena mode multiplayer! Best part... it'll cost ya no premium time to use AND... dun dun dun... host your own server support!

That'd be a great 60 bucks well spent. And it'd sell like hotcakes.

- Suppressors for the Inner Sphere auto cannons. OMG the sound is to loud. This or sound changes is a must have some time.

- Pilot quarters/mechbay, customization.

- Pilot and mech customization (mech decals, artillery/airstrike armor etc)

- Dropships and Jumpships possibly?

- Planet sales, maybe they sell some of the outer rim planets on the map???????????

- Lostech that both Clan and IS would want but have to quest for somehow. How to sell the quests in a cool way? Not sure how they would go about that.

- SOLARIS and everything that goes with it. :)

- Will add more later. :)

1st person only mechbays to walk around in and check the mechs out! I mean the star citizen guys have been stuck running in circles in their hangars without any other decent game mode for a very long time and they are happy arnt they.

When ever someone comes on this forum saying they hate this game I always assume its a crazed star citizen player that got out of his hangar somehow. lol

Actually, they can do way more things than we can, and their game is still largely in early development. For instance, there was this thing.

I seen it. Not impressed. I see 100's of lrm do a fly by every second match not to mention the strike fighters.

When a huge volley misses nearly and im looking at it I still have nearly the same reaction the guys in the video have after literally 100's of times. lol

The testing grounds idea is great. A public multi player testing/training grounds would be cool even if it was faction oriented with a queue. Realisticly/sim it would possibly be busy. Something along those lines woud be great. I thought they had something like that nearly done like a year ago though.....

When the regular assigned queues are full, players could pay MC or cbills? for their own instance/jump queue and make it public or private to....

Mech Cockpit Pack

1 - 5 Alternative Bitching Betties: Duncan Fisher, Sexy Australian Male, Sexy Australian Female, Marine Gunny, Robo-Voice

2 - Pilot Customization: Alternate Cooling Suit patterns (get 5 for free, more available for MC purchase), as well as unlocked color channels (each pattern has its own set).

3 - Decorative Item Sets: One per faction, IS and Clan. Rather than patriotic House symbols and whatnot, it'd be cultural. O5P Book as part of the Kurita set, Remembrance for one of the Clan packs, etc.

4 - HUD Customization: Unlocks HUD colors, with 5 alternate colors in the pack. More available for MC purchase. On release, all players get three basic HUD colors they can choose from, while pack buyers get an additional 5 premium ones.

5 - All players gain a FoV slider built into the Options menu.

I'd buy it for Mr. Fisher! Just add in a warhorn that let's him commentate and so we hear the solaris horn, and it'll be an instant sell for me!

If I have the money, that is.

this sounds very interesting would it be an add on to MWO? ...do you have any more info to share.... would it eventually evolve in to a game like Mechwarrior4 Mercenaries?

I wouldn't mind single player being online if I got the c-bills from playing it to use in multiplayer. and that playing singleplayer gives me xp to use on my other mechs as well. and also help me level up my pilot or award achievements. But if not that, then yeah it's kinda pointless.

My content pack? I think this is pretty realistic. It's a big design change, but should be realistic enough. Also I feel it's realistic because it's something that Mechwarrior -needs-. Mechwarrior's ball of death/rush gameplay is a borefest. And PGI has to step up to this and implement meaningful changes...

A SP Campaign story line based off the IS Defense against CLan invastion perspective and then as the Clans invading perspective.

A Working salvage system. You can buy a mech as you left it for its Cbill or MC worth as it is when it died.

I would use every map currently in game to do this. Make a multi stage campaign.

You could use Clan mechs or IS mechs in the IS perspective, but Clans would have to be captured.

Mechs on the mission would be random each time. So changed up enemies each round.
