I write code that moves robots. I write for for Linux and Windows in C, C++, C#, Python, and a custom scripting language made just for the robots.

Some day, I hope to write code that moves really big robots.

Farmer and Computer programmer, I used to write computer aided Dispatch Software for police fire and EMS, now I just help out on open source games and tools I like. I grow olives as my fulltime job now.

Bam, High-five, fellow farmer. How does the weather treat you over there? I'm not too familiar with the challenges surrounding growing olives, over here we had some last-minute rains last year that just soaked us with mildew on our grapes. Thankfully avoided hail knocking any of the blooms on our Almonds though.

better this year than last - last year we had 7 inches of rain all year - worst drought on record - and we have long records in Texas, but the trees made it so we're still alive!

Full-time university student studying Software Development (Java, C++) and specializing in embedded systems.

I'm working during the summer for a grad student, developing some relatively simple CAD software to support her thesis.

I also have a small tech support business that I've run with one of my friends since we left high school, building/fixing computers and doing software suite installs.

Interesting... I never thought about combining my two favorite interests.

I've worked in IT for the past 16 years... everything from hardware/software support to DB design. Still at it, but looking for a change of scenery.

First off, a big thank you to all the past, present, and future service-people. I truly appreciate you putting my nerdy life ahead of your own.

As for me, I used to be a research scientist here. Before being layed off along with 9 others, I worked on things such as anabolic proteins for bone repair, microbiological infection of the musculoskeletal organs (i.e. bone), and even helped to develop a unique anti-infective hip stem.

Now I sit around waiting for MWO to start while helping my father's wholesale business and trying to start up a retail business of my own. :)

+1 to all the scientists out there, word! :D
