I'm not sure what I'll be doing in a couple of months...but I'm pretty sure my wife isn't going to stand for "Full time MechWarrior" as a "job".

Why not? talk to her, arguing that this way you won't be in her way all the time. You could threat to become her shadow otherwise - giving her good advice on everything all the time.

Doesn't pay as well as you might think, the competition is unbelievable, work is often hard to come by, but it is the best job I've ever had in my life.

Hehe - good ol' faxmachine just won't go extinct. Here in Switzerland as the Accountant I send / recieve several faxes a day - not having that simple yet useful machine would make my job more difficult actually
