How about a Warhorn that looks like an 8-track player? When you kill a Mech, it could do a short music jingle followed by someone saying, "Hey Jude!" I know it can't use the actual Beatles song due to copyright, but just something reminiscent of the song followed by that would be hilarious.

...And if that doesn't work, then how about just an 8-track player that's a mounted dash item?

I always thought lockout/tagout placards and locks would be cool, if they could be attached to something, maybe an open panel that shows the electronics behind the dead video screens.

Maybe just post the placard taped over half of one of the video screens.

I also sent this idea to Russ a while ago:

To go with it, a hanging item that is a leaf whose item name would be called "on the wind" - I'm thinking it is flat and rotates about, rather than in a completely vertical orientation, but I don't have much of an artistic vision to better describe it.

Lastly, for the mounted item, maybe a label plate that says, "primary buffer panel."

MWO needs more cheap "in-joke" cockpit items based on some of the rough patches this game has gone through. If PGI can laugh it off after a period of time, I'm sure it won't be in poor taste. Example: the Island standing item. Granted, this likely does go under the "goofy" section, but I wouldn't mind seeing more items like this anyway.

Some developer (or NGNG or George Ledoux) bobbleheads would be pretty cool, as someone had mentioned before.

An extra monitor that you can configure to show you either the battle-grid (default key B ), the score board (default key TAB), a night vision or thermal out-of-cockpit view, or a rear view camera (OMG pay-to-win).

That is my idea of serious business.
