I would make a cockpit item for each faction: A hanging replica of each faction's home planet.

How about a combat helmet? (Thinking WWII style, your generic metal helmet). An officers cap would work too.

Seems like a somewhat reasonable thing to leave sitting on your dash just in case. (since you presumably can't wear a helmet over a neruohelmet)

An urbanmech cockpit <item>... that doesn't look like it been cobbled together? no ducttape, repair tickets and the like. it is a Budget mech, not a kit mech that's put together in your backyard from Ikea.
