Has anybody else had their LRM range reduced to 800m.

I have two accounts (one IS ad one mess around Clan) and on both accounts, the LRMs have only 800m range

ON my main account I have a locust 3S with duel LRM 5s, it has a base quirk bonus of + 15% missile range and a lvl 5 LRM 5 range mod with +10% range, so a total of 25%....but its range is only 900m.
So its base is only 800m + the 25% range = 900

My clan account has an adder with duel LRM 20s a it only has 800m range on them.

Does anybody else have this problem ?

I have not noticed this but have not played lurms much lately, been trying to level a couple of chassis been playing more laser.

Off topic tip, don't waste money or the slot on a range module. Im not one of these lurm sucks guys, probably one of the biggest advocates of still using them. But with flight times anything over 1000m is just low hits for the ammo spent.
Run a cooldown module and close the distance and you will get more hits per shot.

Your missiles only travel 800? Or you can't lock on to targets past 800?

I try to keep my LRM shooting line of sight if I can. I have not noticed this.

they detonate early before they are anywhere near the targets....I had 1250 range before the tuk patch and fire...and hit at that range...now they wont hit past 900(with bonuses)...they just poof out and do nothing.

Range on the side of weapon display says 900...used to be 1250

you should always be able to shoot, even if you are firing at a target that is out of range or if you don't have a lock. if you can record it in-game you can post it on youtube and link it in the bug forum

if the range shows 900m on your HUD take a screenshot and post it in the bug forum - should be at least 1000m

Shooting LRMs at 1250 is a waste of ammo. Even beyond LOS, I won't shoot until around 900. Just my experience, but LRMs are best used line of sight. That way I can see the hits first hand and adjust accordingly without relying on the paper doll.

Do yourself a HUGE favor - don't shoot LRMs until you are inside of <1000 meters.

As the loading screen tip says, LRM range is travel distance not range. They have to climb and descend, both of which means that a target at 800m is actually longer to get to.

LRMs travel 1000 meters (or quirked range) before self destructing.

To shoot at 800M horizontally means 100M up and 100M down, totalling 1000M, to self destruction.

Or something like that.

You can't normally target things past 800m unless someone/something else is spotting for you or have range detection increasing equipment (BAP or the Sensor Range module).

That's what you are confusing with... as while LRMs can max out @ 1000m w/o any range boosts, you can't actually target them beyond 800m w/o extra help.

Can you give us a smurfy link to the build you are using and mention any modules you are using. The weapon displaying only 900 meter is odd.

Were you mistaking how much ammo you had for the range?

Shooting past 700m most of the time is a waste anyways.

What? I used to be able to hit targets beyond 900 meters with unquirked LRMs. Unless there is a video made by OP, I am not buying it.

Was the target moving away from you with high speed?

If you're shooting into groups on enemies, there's a high chance the missiles won't reach them because of getting show down by AMS.
