That closes in on an increase of nearly 200% in the cooldown by the time you get to the last laser.
Doesn't for whatever reason seem to happen to other mechs or other Firestarters, I expect the ghost heat penalty, but wasn't aware of or have witnessed any other mechs affected by what seems to be a ghost cd penalty.

Do you mind posting a video showing what's happening?

If you rapidly chainfire all your ML's they don't want to reset on their cooldowns at the appropriate times, just locks them out one at a time when you go to fire the next cycle.

You can use MSI Afterburner for free, or a trial version of FRAPs. Both are relatively simple to setup and use.
Posting your build could also help replicate the issue.

Stupid Question:
Did you enable the chain fire for the weapon group that you put on your 2nd mouse button?

There's a different chainfire key for each weapon group? (been playing two weeks)
You have to select one of the weapons in the second group and then hit the chainfire button to activate it for that group.
You can see wich groups are currently on chainfire from the blinking "box" and weapongroup-numbers.

To give some further detail:
You can toggle through all weapons and "weapon group slots" during the match by using the arrow keys. Up/down select the weapon, left/right the weapon group slot. By using the right strg/ctrl key you can bind/unbind the highlighted weapon into the currently active weapon group.

rapid chain all 7
cd for first fired starts after beam duration
adds an additional beam duration time then starts the next laser cd
adds an additional beam duration time then starts the 3rd laser cd
adds another beam duration time then starts the 4th cd
and so on.
It's like its not triggering the cd at the end of each beams duration, but instead forcing them into a queue of sorts, and starting the cd at the beam duration portion instead of right at the cd portion which is adding a lot of additional time to the fire cycle time.
Does that make more sense?

Say... are you continously firing any machineguns while trying to chainfire your lasers ?
