For anyone who cares. Personally, I like the previous head quite a bit more.

I'll say this. The regular variants have a more unique head, where as the Resistance version feels like someone accidentally installed an Enforcer head at the factory.

I kind of like both though regardless of the Enforcer-like head.

As a side note, the spikes on the Resistance version is an interesting design choice. Channeling it's inner Mad Max...maybe Borderlands?

Regardless, good looking mech in the concept art.

Hmmm... I actually really like both now.

I wasn't overly tempted at first, but they both look nice.

Then I see the ludicrously low hardpoints... and I can feel the frustration of future me reaching back through future time and space to warn me.

I also like the standard cockpit better, but I kind of want both. I'll tell you this, if every Phoenix and Resistance and Invasion mech had a custom cockpit, the same way as the Inception / Founder mechs do, I would probably own twice as many as I do now.

Keep your custom geometry shoulder pads.

Keep your custom geometry ankles.

Keep your custom geometry chestplates.

I really, really love the custom geometry cockpits. I would so love to see a unique cockpit for my Griffin (P) or my Warhawk (I). And if any of you bring up the wonderful unique cockpit geometry of the Locust 1V(P) as a positive, I'll collect your f**** head

unique geometry shouldn't be something so specific/iconic for the mech as the only version with knight-like head imo

If it is somewhat comparable to the Grasshopper, I could probably deal with it. Most of the grasshoppers hard points seemed to be about waist height and I do OK with that mech. Still though, the Grasshopper seemed to have at least one shoulder laser :/. That head laser on the BK holds a MPLaser at best. Ugh.

A bit off topic, but speaking of head lasers, does any mech gave a ballistic head hard point? I know the best it could do would be an A/C2 or MG, but I'm just curious. An A/C2 protruding from a mech's head might look cool at least *shrug*.

As for the side-by-side, the original head looks more knight-like to me, the second looks closer to a motorcycle helmet.

Maybe a shield arm might make it look more...knight-ish. The head on the regular versions look the part anyway.

Just a more modern interpretation.

I also didn't realize it until now, but the Resistance version shares a head very similar to the Black Knight 5H posted on Sarna. Makes it feel a little less like the design is coming out of left field I suppose.

Looks like it. Kind of the war torn and weary look. Kind of like the original Resistance pack and even channels a bit of Founders pack's worn and beat up look.
