Just got out of a CW match in which I dropped with a pug group against a 9-man premade. As usual, once we saw that we were facing an organized unit, I groaned inside, knowing that our chances weren't too high for this match.

Me and my team all pushed for the right gate on Hellborne Springs. Only one of our players, one in a mist lynx, pushed left on his own. Halfway to the gate, our mist lynx went down. By the time we got into the base and made it to omega, the same guy on our team went down again. The enemy had light rushed and were now camping this single player on our team.

After destroying omega, the guy on our team who had basically taken charge ordered us to stay put in their base near omega and wait for them. A good idea considering we were up against a pretty organized team that was light swarming. We needed to stick together as best we could to try to fend off their light wave.

Soon, however, it was apparent that the enemy team was set on staying put since they had just gotten the 4 kill lead by wiping the one guy on our team. They were sending the usual cocky messages like "You can have our base," and "Come an catch us! We're at your base!"

Despite the growing restlessness amongst our team, our leader ordered us to stay put. He knew that pushing their camping light swarm would likely not end well. However, 5-10 minutes of waiting passed, and we realized that the enemy team was set on their current strategy. We had no choice but to push.

Just as our leader gave the order to prepare to push, someone on the enemy team ejected out of the blue. The enemy team began raging about a stupid pug while we all scrambled to their drop zone to farm the ejected player like they had done with our player. As soon as this enemy pug dropped again, he immediately ejected again. Then another enemy pug ejected.

We continued to farm these two, clearly disgruntled enemy players as the enemy team continued raging against them. We easily rebuffed the light rush that came after us at our camping position on their drop zone, and by the time the smoke cleared, we had a 19-15 lead.

Without hesitation, we adopted the same tactic as them. We set up camp at our drop zone. We had people on our team being cocky now, saying stuff like, "Hey, our drop zone IS nice!" Which was mocked by the enemy. "I like how you guys are all cocky now that you're winning because our pug betrayed us." They even started gloating about how their faction had the planet captured anyway.

We won on timeout 30-15 after a fruitless push on their end.

Now, I can see both sides of the debate with regards to camping. On one hand, you do everything you can to win in a game. It's human nature, and the best games take this into account and do their best to make sure there aren't superior, un-fun or frustrating tactics in the game. However, it can be cheap when you are a premade team that already has a significant advantage over a pug and you decide to camp in such a major way.

It seems to me that the two ejectees on the enemy team disapproved of the camping tactics of the enemy unit, and sought to give some form of vigilante justice. What do you guys think?

Its possible or he just grew tired of waiting and wanted to settle it with a fight. That doesn't mean he disapproved of the tactics itself but one can hope so.
