at Xmas there will be a giant Santa Mech... 400Tonner that entire Lance's have to try and take down for their xmas booty. But each laugh releases 10 ER PPC blasts... so get caught and your pretty much toasted.

It comes with light 30 tonne mechs that are called Elves, and they run aorund at high speeds but only have 1 small laser. They drop interesting booty too ;)

The Easter holiday special is epic...They call it the Bunner, it has massive Jump Jet reserves and reaches a top speed of over 100kmh, so you best get your mech in flight fighting skills honed.....

I am sure there will be others too.

I wouldn't mind seeing little seasonal tidbits.

Though I hope they'd be tasteful and not completely violate lore and immersion. (I don't want to see an Atlas running around with a santa hat - while amusing, it doesn't fit.)

Wouldn't special occasions be much different in the 31st century? National pride days would be based on the Successor states not Bastile Day or the 4th of July.

The Clans would have absolutely no use for religious observances and any player staying true to character should be as well. Clan Founders Day is coming up the 24th of August.

They should do a series of humorous video's titled something like "Meet the Atlas" and give him special Atlas vision goggles that simulates drug use.

Heres the reference for all you non Team Fortress players

If you think about it, nobody has successfully filled the hat based giant robot FPS niche.
Something to think about dev's

Hey one of the unit commanders in the Eridani Light Horse had a giant jester hat (including bells) made for his Banshee, plus painted an exaggerated grin on its face and named it the 'Court Jester.' Captain Greg Oliphant of the 82nd Heavy Battalion. So technically there is a canon preference for it ;). (Of course it would be rather silly :).)

(Eek, damn typo, meant precedent instead of preference.)
