BUT on a lighter note, this is another step in the right direction. Dont let anyone slip away and keep those founders happy!

The event applies to normal players, it just also gives a bonus to the founders and a cool after-math reward.

Totally surprised by this event...but it's a welcome one. A dangling promise to work on fixing current content, free stuff for participants, and a leaderboard for the founders (with additional goodies) - all good things to me.

Yeah, never mind running the Founder's Cat this weekend... no matter how I configure that piece of ****, there's nothing that can honestly be done with it. I have a Wolverine 10 tons lighter that easily puts out three times the damage and has more than double the maneuverability and survivability... so, screw the Founder's weekend thing. I'll just run and play what I normally do. I've been designing 'Mechs since before it was cool, and I've learned all the hard lessons about this game, too; so, when I say there's nothing to be done with it, don't argue, just move along.

I dunno about you... But I really wanted that little founders hanging item that people got for buying the Founder's pack, and the Phoenix pack... Was upset when I discovered I couldn't get it (Phoenix pack had already closed)

So, I'm pretty happy that they're giving one away with this event. And at only 10 points! I can knock that out inside of an hour

There are very few cockpit items I actually want... that Founder's hanging item was one of them. Thank you, PGI :3

The ladder is where the founder mechs factor in, but I believe for the 50K kill count, you just need to be a founder.

There really doesn't seem to be any indication that you NEED to have a founder mech to participate. Just that you need to be a founder. Unless I missed a part.

I'm a founder yet my tier "veteran" didn't receive mechs... so how exactly am I supposed to participate in this special, exclusive event? *curious*

I mean, the post says right there only founder mechs add to the score for participation:

I think what you meant was, Calling ALL ELITE AND LEGENDARY FOUNDERS. Oh well.

While it's always nice to get some cool items, I honestly don't think they should just leave the vote to founders only. There have been several mech packs since then that have allowed others to contribute to the continued existence of the game, not to mention those that simply have bought MC, premium time, or hero/champion mechs. I like that PGI still acknowledges those that supported them at the begining, and REALLY hope they continue to do so , but maybe the choice of which map gets worked over should be open to all players in general, or at least to anyone that has ever spent real money on the game.

PS PGI- if you ever want to make the founders mechs equivalent to hero mechs as a nice 'thank you' that would be pretty awesome as well.
