My Founders account is perma suspended from forums so I have to use my sons account for this.

Where was this level of engagement back when founders were up in arms at PGI for screwing us? What's PGI going to do for the Veteran Founders for this event, nothing? It's another ill conceived idea by PGI. At the very least maybe give the Veterans a choice of one of the four founder mechs to have. I know the Elite founders will be mad about that so let them have a choice of a second Founders Mech. You have to include the Veteran Founders though, to do otherwise just solidifies the belief PGI doesn't care.

Give the Veteran Founders their choice of one Founders mech to keep! Include the Veteran Founders!

Then let the Elite Founders choose a second founders mech for their accounts to keep it fair.

Rather than giving something for free (which can rightly upset those who paid at the time), how about a one time only chance to upgrade the founder package?

I didn't hear about this game until it was too late, but this is an idea I would get behind.

Since giving the veteran founders a chance to upgrade or a free item would not require the event parameters to change, is this still a possibility?

Much of the firepower in your build wants you to stay at a moderate-to-long engagement range, and the SRMs are at odds with that approach. Sure, they help to rough up anyone who gets in close, but the build is so hot that using them for any length of time comes at the expense of other weaponry. Sometimes less is more.

Works too, though since I'm not yet willing to pay out another 2 million for a revision I've been struggling to make use of the tonnage otherwise. Maybe I'll switch to an LRM launcher at some point.

As someone else pointed out, allowing Veteran Founders to choose a Founder 'mech would not interfere with the parameters of the event. It would simply allowed Veteran Founders to contribute to being Founders in the Calling ALL Founders event.

I am an Elite Founder and it wouldn't bother me at all if the Veteran founders were given their choice of a Founders mech. Although, the Veteran founders would've qualified for the free Atlas/King Crab/Centurion, no? Couldn't those count as founders type mechs to be used for this weekend?

Or maybe next time count the loyalty reward Centurion, Atlas and King Crab as qualifying mechs IF the user is also a founder.

Finally - an event I might do well in. Heck - I still use my Founders Hunch in my CW Dropdeck I like it so much - always fun dropping an AC-20 into battle damaged clanners legs and torso's on wave 3 Particularly since I just dropped in the AC-20 modules too!

Don't have a STD325 engine I take it? They're not a bad thing to have around for some really big chassis, and their price is not near the hardship of an XL, but yeah I understand. Another thought is if you have a STD320 leftover from a Cicada/Victor/Zeus, you could try shaving a bit of armor and upgrading to Lg Pulse, perhaps like this (or maybe lose the AMS instead of armor; or you could shave both and stay with LLs to bump the engine up to a Battlemaster's STD340 if you have one):

Anyway thanks for the initial idea. I've tinkered with it on my DDC now and am rather happy with it so far (tho I thought it needed a little something in its back pocket to make up for lacking the AS7D's ML hardpoints, so I added 3xSRM2 back in). I might actually try running it in CW sometime...
