Other than that, going by the limited concept art, I expect the energy hardpoints will be relatively low. Overall, I don't think this will be any better than a Hellbringer.

Which Energy hardpoints will be low? Ebon Jag's head-arm hardpoints distance can't be greater than Hellbie's. In fact, that's my biggest criticism about Hellbringer's design.

Well, the Hellbringer has an overhead energy point and 3 tightly grouped energy points just below the cockpit, which is phenomenal for one-sided poking. I presume the Jag's energy points will be closer to that of the Timber Wolf's, at the very least just as spread out. But for all I know some of them could end up above the cockpit a la TBR-A's left torso.

Doubt dual gauss will fly well with only 4.5 tons of ammo and no backup weapons

You can make a perfectly viable dual-gauss EJ with 6Ts of ammo by stripping armor off one arm (since it won't be needed) and shaving a bit of armor off the legs. I can already see shoving 2 gauss in the RT and RA for effective sword-and-board (use left side to shield) being a fairly common tryhard build.

I myself won't be doing this cause I find dual-gauss lazy and uncreative and the EJ has so many good hardpoint combinations. Just sticking 2 gauss in is a waste IMO.

What you said is very true about the Hellbringers. That's why I think long distance sniping is a natural choice for Hellbringer (combined with the fact that the ECM is on LT where most of your lasers are!). But when you need to mount weapons on the arms, it is just too low for peaking. Ebon Jag has its hardpoints located closer together (and also closer to the cockpit) just as you said. It also has 2x E on RA which Hellbie lacks.
