Scan for virus if you suspect a virus.

Good tools for checking your PC are Spybot and/or Malwarebytes. Both offer different tools and have slightly different areas of specialization on which types of harmful software they find. Running a check with both ahould find just about everything. Just be aware that you might have to give them a few hours to run depending on your hard drive size.

Go to start menu

enter "run" in the search bar

Click the application that appears.

In the field enter "cmd"

then enter the command "tracert" and then the ip address of the MWO server (need someone to fetch that, since I don't remember it)

To exit that command prompt, you need to type in "exit"

just try mwomercs.com.

Trace Route (command name is tracert in Windows) is a program that lists all the "hops" a packet makes to a destination over a network or the Internet. Each hop indicates a router. Sometimes there will be connection problems and you might be able to isolate where along the path the problem lies. One cavet though is that not all routers will respond to pings. Those are the lines with astericks. What you want to look for are areas with inconsistent or high ping numbers. They could indicate network problems somewhere along the path to the game server.

You may want to run the program a series of times

Sample output:

C:\>tracert mwomercs.com

Tracing route to mwomercs.com [192.99.109.192]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms dsldevice.att.net [192.168.1.254]
2 * * * Request timed out.
3 1119 ms 1146 ms 142 ms 75.19.192.214
4 27 ms 27 ms 27 ms 12.83.79.1
5 36 ms 35 ms 35 ms gar13.cgcil.ip.att.net [12.122.132.121]
6 * * * Request timed out.
7 * * * Request timed out.
8 * * * Request timed out.
9 567 ms * * mtl-1-6k.qc.ca [198.27.73.183]
10 1128 ms 418 ms 70 ms bhs-g2-6k.qc.ca [198.27.73.3]
11 1182 ms 851 ms 69 ms 198.27.73.233
12 480 ms 69 ms 69 ms mwomercs.com [192.99.109.192]

Trace complete.

As you can see in this sample, the line 12, the first trace took 480 ms while the other two took 69 ms. That's a huge lag spike (I happen to be uploading a large file right now).

In addition to the advice and attempts made here...

I recommend that you also ask the MWO Spanish/Español thread, as native languages can communicate clearly.

Not exactly, but your location is Spain, right? I assume Koniving figured people who can speak your native language would be able to help you even more than us.

you mentioned a problem with certificates
I have in the past seen issues where a certificate will show invalid because the computers CMOS battery was dead, so the computer thought it was about 5 years before the certificates for most websites were issued so have you checked your PCs date and time?

also if you are on XP downloading and installing the latest root certificate updates may help
