Any unseen mech. I'd find a way to buy every single one. Those were what I grew up playing on TT and the original MW game.

At this point, given what PGI has said about their proposed business model, I wouldn't pay to pilot any mech.

If, suddenly, we had to pay cash to pilot specific mechs (and not just for unrelated c-bill/xp bonuses), it'd go against everything PGI has said thus far.

+1

the moment a chasis can only be aquired with real money is the moment pay-to-win will start ruining this game

I'm not saying you HAVE to pay for a Mech. I'm saying if they offer "for x dollars get a mech just for you, anywhere from the current timeline", you're really gonna say "that's not what you said earlier"?

You guys are missing the spirit of this post. If you wanted an UrbanMech, put in a requisition order for it, and the Devs make it for you. Not obscure enough? How about a Wyvern? Or a Hatamoto-Chi? This is a hypothetical, so unless you have a Mech that your tiny little heart would burst with joy to see on MW:O, why post?

you mean like they model, design, animate the mech only for you?
and balance it with the existing mechs in game?

Yes, entirely hypothetical, if they said "DOING CUSTOM MECH FOR DUCKETS, ONE PER PLAYER"

Would you do it, and what Mech if so? Maybe you'd luck out and the Mech was already selected by someone else, so you'd get a discount? But you wouldn't be the only one/first with it, so the unique appeal is still there and you get a bargain Mech.

Just imagine it...A Gunslinger in Founder's colors.

I limited myself to IS choices, since that was the direction the OP seemed to indicate... But, if we're going to also include clan designs it makes my decision a lot easier. Timber Wolf, all day, every day.

timberwolftimberwolftimberwolf...fapfapfapfapfapfapfap
naaa im just kidding but timberwolf (madcat to all you inner sphere freebournes. *spit at your feet)

The Crab would be a strong first choice for me. I love the angular design from MW:2 Mercs, but the original curvy Crab would be nice too.
The Charger if we had detailed close combat, but in that case then the Hatchetman too.
The Battlemaster.
And as of 3053 the Bushwacker.

After those I'd pay a bit less for some old Star League designs and a Caesar (I'm happy the Cataphract is gonna be in the game). Mechs like the Exterminator, Lancelot, Wyvern, OH! And the Champion in a heartbeat! That one should really be on the primary list for me.

Nova Cat
Devastator
Fafnir
Daishi

But if I had to pick just one, Fafnir. (Even though its out of its time)
