PGI should throw us piles of free stuff for CW. Anyone can feel free to point out all the flaws with that idea, and I'm not saying it's a great idea (it's not.) but it would still get more people to play CW than currently.

Population is population... Devs cant fix that they can add incentives, but that is it. Right now the incentive they added is the IS community hating them... that is all. CW will always be a random color shifting thing because there are very few actual house units and what house units there are they do not feel like playing due to stupid things like this. As for smoke jag and ghost bear i dont know. i do know they have house units, but i guess after tukayid they are taking a break. THAT can not be fixed by nerfing the IS unless you just want the clans to feel OP... again.... because when you feel something constantly you forget its there.....

Only if they can get into a game in a semi reasonable amount of time. I quite enjoyed the few games I was able to participate in during the event. The extreme wait times ensure I don't drop CW again until I'm sure they are fixed.

first.. they do throw in free stuff, mechbays, cockpit items, and MC
secondly Bilbo are you not in a unit? join one it makes the waiting times far less long. (probably puts less strain on MM to)

should be different drop weights every week starting friday morning - between 150t to 300t, randomized

try them all, see what happens - i think we'd all be surprised

uh no.... that would be even worse since it takes away the whole strategen part of planning your drop decks. plus some people only have a few mechs. (mechs that may have been influenced by current or past CW flow)

We keep saying that the clans need to have reduction in number of mechs they can drop with, both for lore and to even out the battle field.

PGI's response to this is to reduce INNERSPHERE tonnage! Can some one put up that picture of Pickard with the caption " What is this ****" again please?!?

I will say though to be fair it is nice to see PGI paying attenchen to whats going on in CW and frankly reduce tonnage is a fair way of indicating stretched supply lines. GIven the fact that PGI has done nothing to incorporate anything else into there game. (like instead of tonnage reduction, have less AI tanks and infantry to help, or unable to use Artie strikes or air strikes.) but hey maybe that only makes sense to me.

Being in a unit would not guarantee I have 12 people to drop with at any given time, which is the only way I've heard makes any difference in drop times.

Looks like PGI found the way to balance IS and Clan populations: make stupid decisions that cause IS players to just stop playing CW.

Yo RUSS.!!!

IS deck to 240.???!... should be increased, try 300.! (SPARTAH)

IS, is NOT the MERCS (MS, 228, CI & more).

regular ol' shi77y IS PuG groups are still strugging Vs OP clan mechs in CW.

this is a reprimand to regular IS players, so you reckon we will give a hoot about CW after this change..?

When the Mercs shuffle to clan for their WELFARE WEEK.... it'll be game on again, STOP SEEING THE MAP AS ABSOLUTE< and see it for the power of mercs sway...real IS players don't have much of a real impact on the map, planets or Tukayyid events..

MS proved they simply clubbed baby seal PuGs to cap tukka....

reprimand them instead.... cut their DROPDECKS...!

CW.. thank you but NO THANK YOU..!

Wait, did people really call IS mechs OP? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH!

Edit: You can prove that the IS is OP to me by finding at least one IS assault mech in the game that can have 4 UAC/20s with 70 rounds and a small laser. Oh wait, only clans have that for now.

no..its because after the reset, the clans have been getting pushed out of the IS

MS in kurita employment was the reason SMJAGs and bears where pushed out,.....

MS is the problem NOT IS pugger lotto...

I rarely say anything but.. this just invalidates all the nice stats from the BoT. Seriously? I get ready into a battle and I'm invalid? Less incentive to play period anymore. CW is the best mode... minus the wait in the game and now getting a battle for IS will be harder to win when we get a battle?

Sigh.

Cool I finally get to be a white knight and defend PGI for once. You guys know how many people cry about balance and now look at you. It's not like this is even a big change and wow look at all the tears.

Hey guys, hey, hey, yeah. The bit about Tukayyid is all fluff in case you guys haven't figured it out yet. The adjustment has nothing to do with Tukayyid in particular and everything to do with the balancing of the game.

Yeah! Nerf the clans but don't nerf the IS. We IS we deserve all of these crazy overpowered weapon quirks that are so awesome for balance. Lets everybody continue to cry in order to have our way, and make sure to strip away any sort of advantage the clans might have had according to lore.

How pathetic are you freebirth?

A bit upset that i can no longer take my Banshee 3M (being my best assault mech) along with my "Touch you at long range" Stalker 3H and 2 Firestarters.

But getting back to the change at hand... tonnage has nothing to do how good the IS is pushing back the Clans after the reset, it's more that units are signed with IS more-so than Clans (including those who were mostly Clan last time around). I hope to see better payout in terms of C-Bills/LP for clans (at least Ghost Bear and Smoke Jag) in the near future.

Inb4 changing the dropdeck tonnage back to 250 after units switch out of IS contracts claiming IS is underpowered again. (Seriously PGI staph it, stahp screwing around)

People are angry that PGI is trying to balance population with game play.

PGI had a perfectly good system of Loyalty Point and C-Bill bonuses prior to the Tukayyid event.

Drop ship tonnages are for balancing game play for closer / more even matches. When the drops are 240 vs 240 the Clans win 60% of the time (a 20 point spread :o ) but when the drops are 250 vs 240 the Clans win 53% of the time (a 6 point spread :) )

PGI changing drop tonnages for a population issue is a BAD IDEA™
